Getting up at two o'clock to reset the clocks is getting to be a meaningless exercise as most of our clocks these days set themselves from non-human sources many miles away.

Y'all be sure to get up on time in the morning (Arizonans excepted).

You won’t get in any trouble if you change them before 2am. We already did ours. Funny how you feel strange being up an hour past your bedtime. Lol

I have one old but good working nightstand clock radio that has the daylight savings dates built into it, except it is the old dates so this results in some confusion (and irritation).

In retirement, my clocks aren't that important.  The TV box and computer always have the exact time, should I need it.

Like in that Pirate movie..... the Code (time) is more about general guidelines than actual rules (time)Smiley

My key, spring wind and my weight driven clocks all need to be turned forward stopping at each quarter hour to allow the tune to play before moving on to the next.

Supposedly a bill is up for getting rid of DLST but I'm sure stupidity will prevail again. Chicago and I are opposite sides of the timeline thus in the winter they get to experience winter 4:30 pm sunsets and I at 5:30 pm. Get friggin' rid of it!

Changed all of mine that needed to be change before 7 last night.  All 8 of them.  Why so many, who knows.

Oregon is talking about making DST our normal time in 2022.  Sure will make getting up in the dark during winter a lot harder.  Not sure we'll be seeing much more light in the evenings.   One of our Senators just said it would help in Climate Change.   2funny

I did all the manual clocks except the cuckoo clock before we went to bed / asleep.

Honestly, I would rather all year be DST - who cares about getting up in the dark - it's not having enough daylight at the end of the day that's the problem (IMO / in my world).

Still have to set the clocks on my 99 I/S and my 02 4Runner. Not a big deal, but wish they would pick a time and leave it.  tickedoff

I read this "somewhere" and it gave me a chortle. And Indian was said to have uttered this line. Only a white man would believe you could cut a foot off the bottom of a blanket and sew it to the top of the blanket and end up with a longer blanket.  Roll Eyes kinda sorta like gubmint?  2funny RIDE SAFE.

Agreed.

The easiest way to have more daylight for whatever is to change what you do and when.  I know there are some employers that might not be receptive to that but the fix is simple.

Change the working hours.  If you are working 8 hours a day 9 to 5 then change to 8 to 4.   More light when you get home.

But then you say, what about dinner at 6?  Well have dinner at 5.

It is far easier to do this than have the whole country have to change its clocks.

During my working life, what I remember most is two or three weeks where I was tired out (and under performing), extra early, then later extra late.

The Indian blanket story makes better sense than DST.

Actually, the bill is to make DST permanent, not to get rid of it.
