My '98 Tourer's performance (22k miles) has deteriorated over time - no misses but just sluggish and slow.  I had the carbs rebuilt and replaced the rubber "piston" diaphrams, which made it better but still not the fire-breather it was so I'm thinking timing.  About 100 years ago I installed an airlake trigger wheel and swappeed out my Tourer ICM for the Interstate ICM, both of which was the rage at the time. I went ahead and put back the Tourer ICM but no real difference. So now I want to put the original trigger wheel back in to see if that helps. Couple of questions:
1) Has anyone had a bad/similar experience with the airlake trigger wheel? and
2) Does anyone have the installation instructions for the airlake so I can reverse engineer and swap it out for the original?
Thank you!
Peter

I found instructions in the shop section so I'm good regarding how to swap out the wheel. Still interested in any comments on the airlake wheel, though, and whether anyone has had any problems with it.
Thanks,
Peter

The only thing to offer is that I always heard/read the Airlake trigger wheels were the best available (of several aftermarkets).

I had an Airlake on my interstate, and had it removed (to OE).  I didn't need extra low end grunt and top end limits.  There was never anything wrong with it though.  I gave it away.
