The Knight Design foot pegs make such a difference to gear changing. The bike now feels like my ST1300 used to when going up and down the gear box.
And the rear brake pedal is in the right place.

I had to look em up. Curious if you scrape pegs more often now since they are lowered?

I believe I will but I'm still "learning" the car tire the previous owner fitted. It's a shame they don't have a sacrificial nut on the bottom like some Honda footpegs do. I had lowered pegs on my ST1300 and liked knowing that touchdown didn't mean I was close to the edge. The lean angle and ability to carry a bit more speed through a curve is still going to be superior to a 1500.

But had a only a bike tire option at the time.... OEM wheel or Wing Wheel ?

Those of us with large feet, size 14 for me, this might be a big improvement to the cramped foot position I deal with.

I have the Knights lowering pegs too. I do drag my boot heel but not the pegs yet. I also raised the rear brake pedal one spline on the shaft and had to move it back to the stock punch mark because it ended up too high. A brake fluid bleed may have contributed to the changed feel of the pedal too.

Britman and Farther, Your overall opinion on these pegs? I had them on three bikes and loved them, I'm concerned with the cornering on the Valkyrie as my feet are already dragging in the corners. (I ride it like a sport bike)
I'm guessing it's more comfortable and controls are easier to manage in a straight line? Britman you have more twisties in your riding zone...any issues cornering?

Farther, Your overall opinion on these pegs? I installed the Knights lower pegs specifically to have better access to the rear brake pedal and the shifter. If there was an easy way to raise the shifter, I think it's better to go with the stock pegs. Not knowing how to raise the shift lever without tearing into the Valkyrie, the Knights pegs were the right choice for me. If I figure out how to raise the shift lever, I will go back to the stock pegs. I think the lowered pegs are more comfortable for touring maybe less so for canyon carving. Also, the Knights pegs are very grippy so it takes a conscious effort by me to move my foot around.

So far the car tire on the bike isn't filling me with scraping confidence. No, I don't know what the make of tire is. I do know it's too square for my liking. I had no problem zip, zap, zooming around some country roads on the round trip to Hattiesburg.

I believe car tires give a little more height in the leans (than bike tires), as you go on the squared up (however rounded) edges. Thus more lean available. (until things drag)
I don't mean the exact edge of the tire, I mean on a half to third of the tire, as it flexes.

I guess I just need to get some new feet. My feet always drag in the corners, I'm making an effort to tippy toe in the corners on the balls of my feet...kind of a pita. I now have neuropathy in both feet anyway, new ones would be nice.

I now have neuropathy in both feet anyway... Ya, me too and in the hands also. Bilateral "ultrasound-guided hydro dissection carpal tunnel surgery" helped for a couple of years but now the loss of fine motor coordination and stiffness in my hands is starting again. Price of getting old.
