Say that three times real fast without getting your face slapped. Wink  An easy job....if you're 25 and limber. I'm neither!  Grin

I noticed yesterday that I had oil on my kick stand. I haven't crawled under there to see where the oil is coming from. Do you think it could be coming from the shift shaft seal? How hard is it to change?

It will take longer to clean up the oil mess than to change the seal. Until you get the new seal you can try pressing the existing one back in farther if that’s what’s leaking. It may stop the leak for awhile

Don't be... if yours ever goes sour I'm pretty sure you'll fix it and
clean it at the first sign of oil drops. Clean bike and clean carpet  cooldude ...

I saw the burgeoning mess and had read Daniel Meyer's fix post
weeks or months before I got around to fixing it...

A couple months ago I checked mine. It wasn’t leaking yet. No oil on the block but There was a film of wet oil on the seal. So I changed it. Didn’t have to clean anything special. Now it’s bone dry.

Mine wasn't real bad, just beginning to show evidence of seepage. That's not the worst of it, when I first got the trike I noticed a major oil leak with the associated mess all over the rear differential and axles. It was a mess to be reckoned with but I wasn't familiar enough with the trike to really know where to begin. I called a local guy that does numerous "bikes to trikes" in his shop, sort of a retirement business for him and only 11 miles away. He found the drain plug on the bottom of the pumpkin was seeping once the gear oil was warmed up and under some pressure from riding. He took care of the problem with some sealant, refilled it, then took it for a good ride. When parked, he spread newspapers under it and when checking next morning all was well. Problem...the mess is still all over the undercarriage so when I get it back running I'll take it to a local car wash stall that has the pressure wands. Hopefully I can clean the bottom of the motor as well so as to start summer travels and travails with a clean ride.  Wink

Use some "Engine Degreaser" spray prior to the car wash wand.
