Anybody got an extra O-ring holder for rear drive?  Part #14 (41433-mg9-000).  I ordered new gear set, seal, and wheel flange to rebuild but they backordered the O-ring holder.  I've read it is almost impossible to remove the old one and reinstall.  I need to get this done or I'm gonna be without a ride.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Peace, Ron.

That's where I ordered my parts from on Monday.  They all showed in stock then also.  Supposedly they are shipping all the other parts.  We'll see.  I paid extra because they showed in stock.  Anybody got a tutorial on pressing out the old one?

Peace, Ron.

Hey Ron, The 41433-mg9-000 was also used in all the 1500 Goldwing final drives, so I have one in the old wing drive I removed the splines from when I rebuilt the one on my Valk. Is yours damaged?

Been getting parts for Hildr the Valkyrie, the '03 Shadow VT1100C, the '04 CRF250X and the 2017 KTM 250 SX...OEM as well as aftermarket.  They ship fast.

No.  Not damaged.  I thought the o-ring holder was pressed into the ring gear, or splines and was almost impossible to remove and reinstall on new part?  I know I read that somewhere.

I've used them all for parts.  This particular part seems to be hard to come by at the moment.  Rocky Mountain is one of my fav's.

Peace, Ron.

No.  Not damaged.  I thought the o-ring holder was pressed into the ring gear, or splines and was almost impossible to remove and reinstall on new part?  I know I read that somewhere.

I just dug up the old GW final and took a look. The O-ring holder stays with the splines when they are taken apart, and there is not a lip to drift it out. When I did the spline change with GW parts, the o-ring holder was already on the splines so I didn't need to deal with it. I don't see an easy way to remove it as there is no lip and it is a flush fit.

So, you do need an o-ring holder Ron, I didn't verify and think it through.

Just took a look and Rocky Mountain, says it is estimated to be in stock April 16th?

I have one on order from Partzilla.  It says suppose to arrive on April 27.  We'll see.
I'm headed to Valktopia in Eureka Springs, AR. on May 5th.  Hoping She'll stay together for that run and the Steelhorse Rally in Fort Smith that same weekend.  No tire smoking burnouts until after repairs can be made.
Pancho, I'll be giving you a holler when the last part comes in.  I could use some know how on this matter.  You going to Valktopia in Eureka?

Peace, Ron.
