Yes, wiper blades is something that "you get what you pay for" IMO, anyway.

I put PIAA silicone wiper blades on my car and my truck recently.

They're quiet! I'll have to run them a while to find out how long they last.

I've used RainX ones before. They're not bad, but I'm never putting
wiper-blade-goo on my windshields ever again. If you wash your
car a lot and like refreshing the goo, I guess it is OK, but...

I tend to agree with this:
https://reviews.nydailynews.com/reviews/best-windshield-wipers

I (personally) don't think the quality difference between mid-range (price) and top range is significant in how long they last.   Debris and sun are wiper blade's enemy.   Of course, leaving them to get iced up in the winter snow months is also not the thing to do, unless you like replacing those blades.

I agree that you get what you pay for but, the higher priced blades don't seem to last any longer in my experience.

Bosch Icon with Rain X is the best combo.

I hate using the wipers since they can scratch the windshield so I use them as little as possible. In S Fla there is alot of sand blowing around and that sits on the wiper blades. So I always clean the blade. I also use a product similar to Rain X on my windshield since the water just blows off at speeds above 30 and the sheet of water that appears on the window like in the video posted is the biggest problem of all. If the water beads at all your vision is better. With the use of wiper blades and Rain X even at slow speeds the beads of water are easier to handle than a sheet of water. So the wiper does not have to work as hard and actually scrape the water off the windshield all it has to do is move the beads of water off the windshield.

Of course you cannot use Rain X on some motorcycle shields but there are other water repellent products that work on them and also act as a water repellent on the finish of your car and keep it so clean that rain pretty much washes off any dirt on it.

driving home 3.5 hours last night in the dark and rain,  my WINTER blade has to GO NOW I put on this winter since the summer one rubber broke off.  The WINTER one on my side left marks wiping back and forth and smudge marks unable to see right in front of me, very annoying to drive 3 hours doing 80 mph on the Interstate in traffic.  I will keep them for next winter not sure why different though the regular blade on the passenger side was more clear to see the road in front.

I you clean your windshield and wiper blades (and keep them soft with some rubber protectant), they all last longer (cheap or spendy).

I like these:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MT4XSC9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These aren't cheap, but they last and sweep cleanly. I clean them with a rag occasionally.
Highly recommend them.
