After 20 years and 53,000 miles without ever being removed,

Plenty of lube on these splines.

Can’t see much but no rust down inside there either.

Practically zero wear on the splines after cleaning them off.

I’m pulling the carbs off and sending them out for a rebuild this week. I have a new Cobra chrome for the front but I need to make a decision on the rear tire soon.

I think final drives and stuff like that might be quantum.
They're great until you look at them, after that...  Roll Eyes

I looked at my starter relay when my bike approached 100K... it
was fine then, probably 70% burned out by now  2funny ...

John,
I'm happy for you.

But, if one doesn't experience a full range of emotions, then one really doesn't know or understand true happiness.   Come on down and I'll let you experience that full range while working on my stuff.  Wink
