Looking for nice waterproof Full Cover for 1999 Interstate, been looking at the Nelson Rigg Defender Extreme in a XL size.  Figured some of you might have a better idea of a Quality one.

Thank you

My Nelson Rigg has been the best I have ever had for the money.

The downside of full waterproof can be corrosion, if the bike is stored for long periods out in the elements under one (esp with big temperature swings).  Trips and temporary is fine.  Otherwise, something breathable and water repellent (not waterproof) may be a better choice for outdoor storage.

My little water repellent half cover (for traveling) streams off most water, but the cover and bike dry off pretty quickly once the rain quits.

For temporary storage (outside, < two weeks), I got the Ultragard from JPCycles, #308-368. It has nice elastic around the bottom, which makes it a snap to install (pun intended  Grin). The only downside, so far, it the elastic can form pockets that hold rain that splashes up and under it. but easily drained without wetting the bike.

Appreciate all of your comments, the bike is in an open carport with top.  Just needing a quality cover for blowing rain etc.. Hopefully it won't be covered for any long time though.  The Nelson Rigg does have vents though too.  I took the trunk off and left the bags and now to see if a XXL cover with be too big on go with a XL //humm ??  From ground to top of F4 windshield is about 60 inches and length about 114 inches.

Thank you again

I’m going to add to the chorus. If the bike is under a carport, a half cover is the way to go.  cooldude

My Interstate with trunk off permanently has been covered by an XL (or XXL), and it fits fine, though there is some extra in back you pull up to keep off the ground.

Under a carport, the full size will keep more dust off, but a half will do for wet.

Unrelated to the cover, I recommend no bicycles be allowed within 20 feet of the carport.   Grin

(My experience is, if it's at all possible for a bicycle to hit your bike, it will eventually hit your bike.) (or car)

Sounds like XL is the size then and no kids here anymore.
Thank you
