A strong statement in a song that we usually dont hear the whole thing.

Star Spangled Banner As You've Never Heard It

As then it is now, we have a country that is facing very real peril, only this time from within. With blood this country was built and stayed for the purpose of freemen everywhere. If the USA falls to the corruption, hype, falsity and plans of those who would seek to destroy it for their own gains, then the world as we know it falls. That is how important we in the USA are to the world, even with the bad things that have been done by this country, it still built with the mortar and blood of those with hearts given to God and family with the idea of a better way of life for all. A quality not given to all.

May God Bless the USA and remove the corruption and veil from the eyes of all so the works of the enemy will be exposed and give us victory over these atrocities done.

Knew the Star Spangled Banner was a poem with several verses, never heard them sung before except the first one.

Like this one alot. He sings it well too.

Brings to mind a couple of other songs I've learned about.

Taps. There are lyrics to Taps. There are different versions of those lyrics. The Boy Scouts have theirs, the Marine Corps has theirs too. There are others as well.

I was the emcee for a Wreaths Across America program at the Iowa Veterans Home years ago. At my first one we had an echo Taps played by a couple guys with trumpets.

During that a WWII Coast Guard Vet, Dale Shankster, who was the wreath presenter for the Coast Guard, began belting out the lyrics to Taps. That was not scripted. It was a show stopper right there. Tears all around.
I explained to the crowd what they just heard as few knew there are lyrics to Taps.

After the program many came to him to thank him and he told us how when he returned home from his service he joined a Legion post in his town. No one could play a trumpet or bugle so they would sing Taps at the funerals they attended as Honor Guards.

One of my favorite stories.

The other song I like is America the Beautiful as sung by Ray Charles. He starts with the 3rd verse:

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

So much Majesty and Virtue in this Country even a blind man could see it.

It's been a long time since I saw a crowd react that way.

Thanks for posting that.   cooldude
