I know that there are several Valkyrie riders in Ar., but as far as I know, there is no chapter. My brother and I both have trikes, and at the Mississippi Madness get-together, we met two other Valk riders from the state. Where in the state do you live. I am in Redfield, and my brother is in Malvern.

My understanding is, it takes several members from that state to request such a slot.  But, you need to run that request through Staff and that ain't me.  Wink

Mike, I live in Benton not to far from Malvern. Just looking to see if anyone would be interested in starting a chapter in Arkansas. I'm a new Valkyrie owner and looking to ride. I'd like to go to some of the bike rallies and meet some of the people on the board. You guys sound like a great bunch of people, can't wait to meet.

Eureka Springs having an event that starts May 5th.  Seems like there are quite a few here in the State.  I would like to see what needs to be done for a Arkansas Chapter.  I don't do FB anymore, know there is a group on there.  I'm in Jackson County in NE part of the State.

Thank you

My suggestion would be for all of you to get together at InZane where the staff will all be in June and work it out there.   InZane is a great time to meet a whole bunch of Happy Honda Riders.

Just for the record.  There is an option for Facebook.  Its https://mewe.com. It has a couple of motorcycle groups I am a member of although I must admit I don't go there every day.

I would love to go to InZane this year but I don't have the funds or vacation time. Maybe next year I will be able to attend.

I assure you, I have been there.  Still am to an extent but, it's all about priorities.   I completely understand.   I highly recommend (depending on your priorities) that you schedule a vacation for the middle of June nest year.   It really is worth it.

No VA

I don't know what it takes to get a VRCC state chapter, but you could always just start a Arkansas Rider Thread (in General) and post to it from time to time (bringing it back to the first page) when you want to bring the Arkansas rider's attention to things, or discussions.

You realize if you do get a chapter, you are the primary volunteer responsible to run it.   Smiley

Also, the AR razorback is a bit too close to the HD Hog.   Grin

Someone created this years ago, but there's no VA chapter either.

Jess, I would be more than happy to volunteer, but I know nothing about running a chapter and I'm not very computer literate. I still haven't figured out how to post pictures and I'm not sure how the Quote thing work either. I learn something new every day so I'll get it eventually.

Greetings and welcome to the Valkyrie Brotherhood coolsmiley Well it is....  Cheesy
About 2 weeks ago there was the first Mississippi Madness Rally or gathering. It was well attended in my opinion. There was a gentleman handing these announcements out. I'd like to go and will try. Perhaps you can meet several others if you schedule to go? Good luck and enjoy your Valkyrie. I do smitten

I put this on my calendar, have an interest in attending.   Too far out there to confirm attendance but, I've ridden that part of Arkansas before and there are some nice curvy roads and scenic views.   Would be nice to do it again with a herd of Valkyries.   cooldude

Farside, Thanks for the post. I haven't heard about this get-together. I might be able to go to this one!
Wish I could have gone to Mississippi Madness and InZane but unfortunately I am not able to this year. Hopefully I'll be able to go next year.

Twofeathers, you are not far from me, maybe a 30-40 minute ride going the back roads. We will have to see about meeting some weekend. When I got my first Valkyrie in 2005, '97 Bumblebee, there was a ride in to Hot Springs with people coming from Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. I know there were people from NE Arkansas, I'm thinking maybe Newport, and Arkadelphia. They had a few more rides after that, but I did not get to make to many of them because of work. I don't have that problem any more, since I retired in 2013.

Mike, I would love to get together and ride. You may know the guy I bought the bike from he lives here in Benton and he has been on the VRCC board for many years. We go riding all the time and plan on being in Harrison in October. I have to thank Jack for selling me the Valkyrie. It has been A Joy I didn't know I was missing! I can't believe how much fun it has been and I'm excited to ride and meet some more of our brothers and sisters in this (new to me) motorcycle world.

I am still wanting to get an Arkansas chapter going if there is enough interest. Please let me know if anyone else wants to help me get it started.

You bought Jack G's bike? He and I have met. In fact, he helped me do my first rear end service on my '97. He is a super nice guy.

Mike, Yes He is who I bought it from. I've work with him for years. Super good guy. I wouldn't have a bike at all if it wasn't for him. We always had a running joke. I'd ask him when he was going to sell me his bike and he would say never that they were going to bury me on it. Well I guess he decided it was time, so I'm the proud owner a of a sweet Valkyrie.
