My wife had her’s removed.
I’d say she told me about it for maybe a week.  I’ll ask when she gets home.
Edit:  The wife says a couple of days at most.
She's a tough ole broad so, she wouldn't complain if it was kill'n her.  Wink

When I had mine removed it was instant pain relief after waking up. BUT, I was a lot younger then also.

Spousal unit was a bit of a PITA for a few days after hers came out, but the relief from having it out surpassed the pain of having it out within a week.

Had mine out January 2019, done Laparoscopically. Kept me overnight, home the next day. The only cut that bothered me was the one upper front through the ab muscle. Once the stitches were removed after a week, no problem. Apparently they were pulling a bit when I moved. Never any lingering pain thoughout but sure was glad to get rid of that rock...was roughly 1/2" wide. Some kind of pain!

Dr. said it was big enough his son could have used it in his slingshot.  Grin

Me and my gal bladder parted ways back in the '90s.  I starting have attacks about twice a year, then once every couple of months, then once a week and I finally went to the doctor (yes, I'm a dumbass).  I had three large gall stones (about the size of grapes) so it had to come out.  Mine came out the old way - 6" incision in the belly.  Towards the end, the attacks were so bad - it would pretty much wipe me out the next day (they always hit at night).  I was plenty sore for weeks after the operation, but it was nothing compared to the pain from the attacks.

I had mine out about 25-30 yrs ago. Doctor said he lied to me in that he had to poke an extra hole in me. Once I woke up and drank and got rid of the water I got dressed, left and went to work. It wasn't a problem, I felt better then than I did before.
