I couldn't find any expanded aluminum mesh sheet like I bought at Advance Auto Parts some years back. So decided to buy one of those mesh protectors you attach at the bottom of the screen door to keep pets from tearing up the screen. Worked out fine, just cut the pieces I needed to size and hot glue in place. This is how it turned out, I think it adds to the appearance of the pods in place just open holes there.

Looks great (so does your trike btw). Similar to mine which I did a number of years ago... cut out the pieces from my old OEM radiator screen  and painted them Chrome. Looks good and also hides the car horn I have mounted in there

I think it looks good John  cooldude I’ve never used hot glue. I wonder if it would melt here in the desert ? I take some pretty good bug hits in that area, hopefully they’ll hold.

Have them on the old bike, been there for close to 15 yrs. without issue. Put them on with the hot glue and they're not coming off. I had my air horn mounted inside the right side pod on the old bike but since the trike has fog lights, I have to find a different place for the horn. Not sure just what I'll do, don't want to mount it back where the OEM horn came off...road debris and wet weather would kill it rather soon. Trike no longer has the swing arm so can't mount it there either, thinking maybe a bracket that bolts in where the kickstand used to bolt in. It's loud enough so could still be heard. Also need some adapters to let me use my narrow bolt mirrors that fit on HD controls but too small for the Valkyrie. Now if it would just warm up so I can ride, I want to put some miles on it as a shake down cruise before IZ.

John I mounted our air horns underneath the bike.  Where you said re the kickstand if I recall correctly.  Nice and loud underneath.
