Moved too, to Abbotsford from Yarrow?

Hey Gord,
Yeah, I no longer need the power for touring with my wife and trailer so I'd like to purchase a bike I can reach the ground on. I have to slide forward on the seat at every stop, not idea cause it's hard to use the back break from this position. I'm going to get something shorter (maybe a 750 shadow)....we'll see.
I'll give anyone from our group a screaming deal if they are interested. She runs perfect!

Yes we've moved back into Abbotsford. Alison retired in July and I'm going to pull the trigger after one more school year. We plan on spending five months a year at our place on Kauai as well as a few months a year travelling in our motorhome so it was time to down size and sell the acreage and purchase a townhouse in town....something we can lock up and leave and not think about it for months at a time.

Well great for you two! Still close to the kids. Too bad we never really got to meet up as much as I would have liked, I never could get the same times off, and our rally where all at the end/beginning of school for you.

Mike pointed out that he thought it was your bike, but I didn't know about the move (lets you know how long ago we've meet up, Port Angeles?).

Don't forget to get a better picture of those rear floor boards, I bought the same too, after seeing yours. I also bought Tess a rear Mustang seat, but my OEM front is stuck in Blaine waiting on the border.

Also that the piggies have been repaired and no more drone.

I've always like the blue bike too, but I'm waiting on my 99' getting to a collector earlier than yours.

Maybe back to an ACE Tourer  Smiley again. You never drove too fast/far. Do you have a RV in mind? My brother-in-law has Parkinson, and they don't travel anymore, I don't know what my sister is going to do with their RV, but it's a Canadian one that's winterized, and they live in Chilliwack near the old CFB.

Hey Gord,
I had to put 11" progressives on my ACE so I could flat foot. Honda makes their seats so wide that my 28" inseam is used up just getting my legs to clear the outer edges of the saddle. Grin
I put over 50K on my ACE when I had her. Took her on four big tours around the Western 48 pulling a trailer and she did great. Got a little to much for her when Alison joined me with the trailer, thus the need for the Valk. I'll probably look for a Honda 750. Nice low seat.
We already have a 25' Class A motorhome. It's amazing! Small enough to get into any state, provincial or national park and yet big enough to have a perfect layout for Alison and I. Picked it up last August so we've had a number of weekends in her at Bridal Falls and Cultus Lake.
I miss touring on the bike but still enjoy rides out to Hope with my b-i-l on Hwy 7. We get out about once a month but hope to make it more often now that the weather is warming up.
Cheers,
paul

Paul, I'm Paul down in WA.  Used to see you on HSATF forum, now on this one after I got a Valk and joined.  Still have my beautiful T (with Progressive 11" shocks !). Like others, sorry to hear you won't be riding down this way in the future....had looked forward to meeting you.  Sending you a PM about your Valk.

Hey Paul,
Good to hear from you again. We will definitely get together in the future. This boarder issue will eventually go away and we'll be able to cross again. I was wishing I could respond to your PNW post and ride down for a meet but that just can't happen right now.
Enjoy the good weather
