One more turn should do it!

Wife got me a set of MOP's for Christmas. I finally decided to install them. I glanced at them that morning but seeing as we had 10" of snow on the ground. I was more concerned about plow crews clearing our city streets. Looking at them today, they just don't look like anything on the MOP website. Install instruction say to load spring. They already have tension. Sooooo if you guys that have could post some pics of yours.........MOP's that is. I would really appreciate it. This is what I have:

Mine are mounted, but that sure looks like 'em, yours minus the pegs of course.  I think the finish on mine is more chromed, those almost look coated.

BTW, I noticed when I would ride on bumpy roads I would  hear a bit of a rattle.  Couldn't track it down for awhile.  I put some thick rubber tape hidden on the lever edges right where they snap back up to the closed position in the housing.  Cured the problem.  Just that little bit of metal on metal noise was bothersome.  It always is nice to track down an unnerving unidentified rattle!

Goldwing or Valkyrie?  If Goldwing GL1800 or GL1500?  Lots of models for GL1800s. I own a vertical mount set for my GL1800 but have owned several models. Valkyrie’s only have 1 type.

As Dan mentioned, there are several models made for Goldwings.  Some of them work just fine on a Valkyrie.  Most of those have the mounting bolts hidden under the cover that holds the spring and pivot arm in place.  Therefore, to attach the mount, you first need to remove the cover, unload the spring and remove the pivot arm.

The one in the picture looks like the specialized model CC, made exclusively for the Valkyrie.  It looks as though the mounting bolts are configured in such a way as there is no need to remove the pivot arm, spring, cover.  Generic instructions are not really applicable.

I have a '97 Standard and yes the CC model is the only choice available for all years of all Valks. According to the MOP website.

Rams, thanx for the pics! The MOP's I have are the correct ones.

Anything in here help?

I had seen this video and that's what made me wonder about what I have. The mounting block in the video is smaller than the mounting blocks on mine. When I tried a dry fit on Sat. I don't feel they mounted "flush". Did not seem like a finished fit.

I have a email into Jay at MOP's.

Can this type of aluminum be powder coated, T6061? I know some powdercoat their wheels. Do not know if different grades of aluminum have different capabilities.

Pais  wish I could be more help but Mick himself installed the pegs on my Interstate

What I can say is please DO NOT STAND on the mickopegs whilst riding as they are not designed for that

I did not heed this advise while passing a truck on a downhill right sweeper and the left peg broke clear off and luckily lived to tell about it   It was a miracle that I recovered (muscle memory as I survived a left pedal breakin on my 3 speed a long time ago )   Mick was "I told you so"  but he did send me a replacement peg.

Damn Oss, I did that on a bicycle years ago and got banged and scraped pretty good. On a MC at speed would be a real pwoblem. Glad you avoided a catastrophe.

I received an email from Jay at MOP's today. He realizes after seeing my pics that I was sent the wrong finish but, they are the correct ones that go on a Valk. He will ship the chrome one's to me ASAP. Included is a prepaid label for return shipping.
Customer service still alive and well just hard to find. Big  cooldude to MOP's!
