I have had a fair amount of knee and foot pain but that has never stopped me before on a nice day and I took the bmw a few days this past week.  Just about 78000 on that bike now

Is this a symptom of some sinister chinese plot?

Is it politically motivated?

I spent most of the day clearing weeds and making a trellis for the garden out of electrical conduit and string and cutting brush and tree limbs   Have 4 plantings of peas, lettuces, broccoli, kales, brussels sprouts and spinach in the ground and three beds of garlic  Kind of hard to see the 8' trellis in front of the pool but you can see 5 or so of different heights

The tomatoes are under the grow lights for another 3 weeks just started the cukes and patty pan squash inside today also  Zinnias, marigolds, calendula, collards and butterfly flowers also under the lights or on our porch hardening off
Everything but the garlic of course is from seed  Going to try to grow russet potatoes from sprouted ones I found in the pantry this week also

Tomorrow will rain but Tuesday looks nice for a ride to work on the police bike  We will see......

Been having a heck of a time getting kosher pig seeds   angel angel

Try to spend a few minutes every morning in the garden.

It centers me.  When I first built the "victory garden" some years back a few neighbors were
why would you do that ?  Not anymore.   The moms take their kids here and the little ones love to watch how the plants grow.   A fresh strawberry off the plant makes a friend of a kid forever and is a good investment in our young

probably a good thing you got a fence around your yard/garden area otherwise the neighbors walking by would pick and eat all your veggies and especially the strawberries am sure.   When neighbors 2 kids were little age 3 and 5 they came over to our garden and caught them both eating my 2 of ONLY 5 or so that were ripe of baby watermelons in their underwear.  REDNECK neighbor kids!   tickedoff

speaking of NOT riding,  MY 2 Valks are still undercover from winter NO battery nothing ready still.  Past 2 weekends were up to kids 3.5 hours north moving their big crap from one house to another house making 5 trips total some 20 minutes to get to one house then 20 minutes back to new house.  Then end of May for the other kid moving from apt. to a house.  Seems like a NEVER ending story... Cry

Just got home 630pm tonight and not feeling like putting battery in cycle and going for a ride before dark 8 p.m. LONG weekend.

Oss, so inquiring minds, and all.  Could you be the only farmer in New York?   Grin

I had a good friend decades ago, who grew a small vegetable garden on his back yard fence line (butting up against his neighbor's backyard garden).

Just for fun he planted two marijuana plants, that grew and grew.

One day he came home and discovered his neighbor had harvested his own garden, and suddenly his two weed plants were very visible to anyone looking.  He figured to take care of it in the coming days, but when he got home from work the very next day, the police were waiting to talk to him about his garden.

Fortunately, they let him chop them up and throw them out without any charges.

When we lived in the keys, a buddy of mine had a couple of plants growing in pots in the back yard.  One day he gets a knock at the door and its a state trooper.  The troop asks  are those your plants around back.  He kind of hangs his head and says yes.  The trooper then says get them out of sight of the road (he didn't add - you dumbass, but it was in the tone of his voice).  Then the trooper went on his way.

Rode today, rain only while I was working, sunny when on the bike

Tuesday:  Already dug in the potatoes by 7am   Looks like only 1 day will be a frost before mothers day which is the usual last frost date      Yeah for global warming  all the plants are now outside hardening off
Thursday I will plant the cherry tomatoes and brandywine tomatoes as wed nite looks like the last frost
