I loved my Valk, but I am really enjoying my new Gold Wing-B. I have never had a windshield on any bike I have owned, I guess because I didn't like the looks of them. I felt they looked like the bikes used on the cop show- "CHIPS" from the 1970s, I am dating myself! However, now I know why alot of you guys took the trouble to put one on your Valk, these shields really make a ride better. No more stiff neck from fighting the wind. Also my wind shield is motor driven- adjustable to whatever height works best. When you are not riding, it tucks neatly down in the front cowl.  I also like the 4 ride modes. When set on "tour", acceleration is cut back somewhat for a smoother ride. When set in "sport" mode, the bike feels quicker than my Valk was, even though they basically have the some powerplant. I will give you guys updates as I learn more about the new wing. Last, I want to give a shout out to Robert, the Valkyrie "guru" and thank him for all his help over the years.

The 1800 Valkyrie is 180 pounds lighter so a bit more vroom.

I think Adirondack Bill has the new goldwing...

new goldwing = 787lbs
1800 valkyrie  = 750lbs

We both added a bunch of "stuff" to our 750 pound motorcycles...
