running 80ish mph. Engine cuts off, only for a split second. Then runs normal. Does it again five minutes later. Keeps doing this, but only at 3 to 4k rpms. Not a fuel issue, definitely electrical. I'm sure its hard on the rear drive. It's like flicking the kill switch.. Haven't checked anything yet. Coil going bad? Bad plug wire? Anyone experienced this?

I believe that very symptom has been discussed on here before.
I don't know how to search for it. (you'd get wider response from the 1500 tech board)

Happened to me out in green swamp off of 471... Kept dying random. Had to pull the bike apart at 12 midnight.
There was a single wire that was loose on a plug connector, accessible from the right side of the bike, and it went into the main wiring harness headed in the direction of the steering column. I forget what the bike was and I'll try to take a pic of the wire before lunch and get it uploaded here somehow. Ended up soldering it into the connector and it works fine now. Would go out randomly and if I hit a bump. Occasionally it would go out if I hit the kill switch (found it when I tried to turn the bike back on).
Hope this helps, I'll send a pic of the wire up here soon...

Thanks for the replies. Hasn't been bump related. Ughh, would rather be beat with a stringer of salt water catfish than chase a bad wire. Btw, I know that section of road (471) pretty damn remote. Have traveled it many times, turning north on 33 to Groveland and stopping at Krispy's Chicken. Yum yum, great gizzards!

Mine did that a long time ago. It stopped doing that after I took apart the kill switch, cleaned it with electronic cleaner spray and reassembled. No way of knowing if this may be the same thing.

One of my valks did that several times one summer. It always fired back up by itself in a second or two. Pretty unnerving, but I never did anything about it.

Whoops.. Fell asleep. https://ibb.co/R0v0TJTThe wire is red, where it isn't covered in shrink wrap. This is on the right side of the bike.

Seems like I remember that scenario at some point. Don't remember exactly what it was but definitely electrical. Kill switch, kickstand switch, loose wire in harness under right side cover.
