I remember very clearly the moment I realized I was bald. I must have been in denial for at least 2 or 3 years. I ain’t making that mistake again. “We” may not be old. But I sure am.   Grin

I have looked recently at my pics of me in my 20's and 30's and barely recognize me at all NO gray hair and skinnier cheekbones vs. now partially gray and FAT in the face and pretty much ALL OVER.

I guess you can call it VINTAGE, but to me is still darn OLD and fat.....  Is a good way to look at it as vintage and not old.  I wish I looked as vintage in good of shape though as our 20 year old Valkyries do which appear to be in much better shape age looking wise than our physical appearances do now.  I bet all of us have gotten compliments on our 20 year old Valks stating NO way is that cycle that old with that many miles on it.   Same can NOT be said of my appearances unfortunately.....   Cry

I remember all thru my growing up years in small town always being the big FAT kid which looking back was NOT super huge just say 20-30lbs. heavier than most other kids is all.  I did not think near 200lbs. and only 5'10" age 18 was super huge to be honest when most others 175lbs. or so.  Just wish now I was closer to that 200 mark vs. now pushing 300.... Not old at all.   But I have discovered the joy of stretch jeans.   Undecided

Great pics of the old bloodline, Mike.

that is funny, stretch jeans.   My wife and I commented on them recently buying a few for her and me and my kids.  It seems like a lot of jeans are made of STRETCH material  not just in the waist but legs and all over,   Even a few pair of dress slacks I bought have elastic stretch in them, which for me come in VERY handy trying to button them up in the morning.   Grin

I'm with you MSB! I'm getting older, but I'm not old. I too have short hair. I'm not bald, lol. I also have some padding that I did not have in my 20's and 30's. It has always amazed me how my older brother can eat mounds of food at a sitting and not gain a pound. I can eat the same amount with no problem. Difference is, pants will be tight the very next day.
Those are great photos  cooldude I like the vintage theory. Just the other day I mentioned to my wife that soon I'll be able to get the classic plates for the Valk. Her response was, "how old is it?" 24yrs I said. With a quizzical look she responded "it is?" And she says I don't listen or pay attention to her!

Great pics Mike! B&W is cool  Cool

People can't believe my bike is near 20 years old, and they love the bling along with that strangely beautiful engine Smiley

I can honestly say at 62 my biological and chronological age aren't in sync, I feel like I'm 45 yrs old most days, some days I feel older but never 62. I'm lighter now than when I was 19 and in my first years of pumping iron.

3 years ago I did a hypertrophy cycle and muscled up to 210 lbs, I didn't like it.. most of my adult life I was 215-220 body weight and never had much fat, I did gain some BF while doing that growth cycle though.
I find carrying more weight to be more a hindrance than advantage, so I strive for strength over muscle size and feel much better. There's a big difference running at 175 lbs vs 215, unnecessary ballast just slows me down and makes things harder on joints.

To date I still have hair covering the melon, though it's thin.. my face and neck show decades of working in the sun. My GF says she respects the way I 'own' my age.. that is, I don't try and look younger by doing anything special. I laugh at that saying 'what the hell am I going to do?'

We should strive to be the best version of ourselves and not compare to others. I do realize I'm a physical outlier on the edge of the bell curve, but my lifestyle isn't for everybody.

Mad respect to all the 'older' men and women who get out into the wind and actually live!!

Too many people sit and waste away their precious short time here on Earth.  angel
