I just sold my '97 standard. Im looking to get back on to an I/S. Haven't seen much in Wisconsin, so I'll probably be doing a road trip to get one. I would appreciate tips and/or suggestions when buying long distance/out of state. I would hate to drive cross country and be disappointed.
Get a lot of pictures and find out as much as you can about the bike. These bikes appeared to be well built. I got mind and was not happy at first. But after I rebuilt the carbs and changed fluids I am delighted with it. Remember you are looking at 20 + year old motorcycles.
