Sat Night Live use to talk about Puppy uppers and doggie downers. Josh; you have too many of one and not enough of the other. But I get it.

This video of kid's motocross is always good for a laugh.

People think too much sugar for kids is OK.  Either that or OCD.

The only time I look like him is when there's no place to pee anywhere.

I've been sitting here planning my route north for my ride in early May (The RustyValkyrie Rides North) . . . I can't wait!  Yea, I still get excited, especially for a back roads ride like I'm planning this one, low and slow.

I'm going over to my thread now and post the route I've got planned so far.

I told someone who wondered how I could undertake such a ride that I'm just a giant Hobbit going on an adventure.

Oh yeah.  I'm a bit less talkative with myself, but I ain't shy about belting out a tune or two on a good day.  I appreciate my crystal clear, beautiful voice more on solo rides than Cheryl does when she's on pillion and intercom.  Probably just a bad microphone and speakers.  Wink  Haven't tried yodeling yet, I may have to ask Bruce for lessons first!

At least my sweetie pie acknowledges I CAN sing - in tune even ! We went to a practice / performance in a culdesac for a band that one if our friends plays in , and she made a comment that they had an extra backup singer in the crowd (me) - but at least I can carry a tune (I can ALMOST cover Bohemian Rhapsody( not the highest stuff) and I do pretty good on "Bridge over Troubled Water").

Love it. cooldude And the answer is Yes, I still get excited every time I head out for a ride and while maybe not as "cute" as you do here in this video, I do sometimes express it to myself out loud. I also let out the odd Yeehaw (especially on bright sunny mornings starting off on a great route) or as Valkorado admits...break out into song every now and then. After  20 + years I also find myself talking "affectionatley" to my Valk now and then...still bringing me joy after all these years.

Doesn’t everybody ?  Smiley I had to refrain myself somewhat the other day with Brayden. I didn’t want him to get back and have to talk to my daughter about putting the old man in a home.

I have my happy quirks also. I will usually at sometime do a “happy weave”. I’m not a cowboy or country, but I might have said 3-4 million “yea haws” over the years. I think I hear voices or thoughts when I ride. One of my friends put it best one day after riding thru the hills in Ireland. We were having dinner and drinks after a great day of riding and I was talking about the blind left hand corners around the hills. (It would kind of freak you out sometimes) And he started telling us how it was serene and he was just contemplating whether Chinese babies were born with an accent ? I’ve never quite got to that level of Nirvana, but I’ve been close.  Smiley

What was fun about doing this video was the 500 mile day just flew by. I ended up with 5 times the amount of clips I needed, and had a pretty good one passing a State Patrol. Figured I got off lucky and didn't want to push my luck. Even though after the singing pee shot I was doing 100 for awhile.

I thought for sure I’d been had the other day in the desert. Probably 80 miles this side of 29 Palms I passed a pickup/trailer combo. Probably was at 85 when I passed the CHP. He gave me a look and just kept going. Sometimes you get lucky.

Josh,

Oh yeah! For sure!!! BTW, I appreciate all you do for us, my friend... Your contributions to the health and vitality of our organization, this band of spiritual sojourners, is huge, and I thought you should know they are very much appreciated...

And another thing... Thanks a ton for all you did for Sweet Cheeks and her ride, BOB! She is one of those special characters, and it's good to know she is in good hands with mechanical stuff... other things, too, of course, but trust and confidence are important to any non-techie rider who dares to venture out... Good on ya, dude!

You are welcome Sir. It's an easy gig with this great group of people.

As for our beloved Sweet Checks, and the infamous BoB! I have had so much fun getting to know Janice, and BoB. We became fast friends and enjoy riding together. I am glad it all happened.

Just for the record DDT .... it isn’t just Valk riders who get excited before a ride!

I love all you guys and greatly appreciate you all looking out for me.  Great friends are difficult to find and I feel I hit the mother lode with this group!

BTW, I left Bama about a week ago.  Somehow I ended up in Orlando and then Clearwater.   Hmmmm ..... how did that happen?  I am currently at Farside and Ginger’s in Milton FL. I’ll have a stop over in MS and a few days in Eureka Springs.  This is the most direct route to Colorado, right?
