So I ended up in a church with my parents as one of my very earliest memories.

Babysitters cost money, and I was so little I wouldn't know what was going on.

Everyone seemed sad.  While I wasn't supposed to see, at some point it became apparent to me there was a man in a casket in front of the church.  This was very strange indeed, but I knew to be quiet in church.

At some point, an old lady next to me said.... he's in a better place now.

I thought about this for a while, then asked her.... what kind of box did he live in before?

I thought so, but 60 others seem unconvinced.

Reminds me of a comedian i once saw when he said “When I was about 10 when our family would go to a wedding I had two old aunts that would pinch me on the cheek and say ‘ Yooouur next!’.    Later in life I would get them back when at a funeral I would pinch them on the cheek and say “Yooouur next”

My nephew was about 3 when one of my family passed away and when my brother took him up to the casket he said " Dad, who is the guy in the suitcase"?  Grin

Personally, I'm hoping to only have one funeral myself.

During a conversation that took place many years ago I told my girls that I want to live long enough to be a pain in their collective asses. To which my daughter Toni stated..."dad, you could have relaxed years ago." Whatever did she mean?  Roll Eyes
