Could this jump have a relation to pot use skyrocketing in CO? AZ just allowed open pot use. I’m concerned.

Not sure what it is.

When I got rear ended creamed at a dead stop by a Ford Explorer a couple summers back, I'm pretty sure the nose-ringed kid driving had fallen into a "micronap" -- split second but deadly naps exhausted drivers nod into.  Can't prove he was dozing but when I asked him, "ARE YOU STONED?" (yes in capitals, I was screaming in his face) and how could he NOT see the FIVE blindingly bright (one flashing) LED brake lights, he said he was exhausted and admitted he and his buddy had been up late partying around the campfire, then packed up and hiked out at the crack of dawn that morning to get back to Denver.  The buddy in the passenger seat said he was asleep when I was walloped and launched into oncoming speeding traffic.  Narrow miss.  Thank God there are still some alert drivers.

There are definitely more complete dumbasses on our highways nowadays, too.  Californication.  Getting crowded fast.

God is real and saw over me on that day, that's for sure...

Just snooping around in the CSP statistics gives me an opinion that about 85% of the fatalities occur on the front range (Pueblo to Fort Collins) and eastern plains.
The western slope's reports usually point to accidents caused by errors in reading the road, speed, and/or poor judgments.  Not hardly any vehicle-motorcycle hits out here, as opposed to the urban areas of the state.

An informative read for riders of our state.  Some areas are riskier than others and some actions to be avoided when you are on the tar.  I don't see that any of the fatals are attributed to off road riders.

Marijuana?  The drug of choice is still that liquid lightning in a bottle during the drive.
I regularly pick up many "nip" bottles and empty pints of vodka on my country road (oh how I wish I could catch him/her in the act) for the past 3 years.  Got a box that I've shown the town council in hopes that they'll talk with the sheriff, it's gotta be a local.
Nothing forthcoming from them means I'm still picking them up.

Today it'll hit 89* out here and I'm sure that the wheelers will be out and about like the robins of spring.
Heads up. Undecided
