Monday evening my Cruiser bar and Fender rack came from
Big Bike things. Took some time to get it out of the bubble
wrap and tape. After getting it out and checking them out my
Wife's phone rang and Baptist Hospital informed her that she
was on the Kidney transplant list. She has been on Dialysis for
3 years for complete renal failure due to taking Ibuprofen for
years.
This was the second attempt to get on the list. Amazingly 2
days later She received a call Wednesday evening letting her
know they possibly have a Kidney from a 20 to 30 year old
that had Passed away but had to do more test when they got
the Kidney out to see if it would be compatible for her.
The hospital called Wednesday night just before Midnight and
said it would be several more hours before they knew for sure.
6:15 Thursday morning she got the call to come to the Hospital
and after arriving they had to do what they called a Cross match
test where they put some of her blood with a sample of the
donor kidney to make sure her body would not reject it. All good
so Surgery started at 7 Thursday evening and was over at 12:15
Friday morning.
May take a few weeks for the Kidney to fully wake up they call it
because it was from a deceased donor but it is working a little
already. Still kinda numb from her getting on the list Monday
then by Friday morning it is in her and everything seems to be
going good.
Visiting is really strict so I took today off to let her Mother be
with her so I put the parts on my 01 to keep my mind busy.
Now I won't  keep getting my 15" foot caught on the Backrest
when getting on and off of it.
Still have the 99 that I can put a passenger on when needed.

That must be true joy for you and especially your wife after those years of dialysis. Best wishes going forward.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. We will be home in
a few hours. They have them give the new Kidney a
nickname and she chose Kidney Bean.
