Hey Everybody,

I am looking to replace the speakers, windshield and tank bib on a 1999 I/S 1500 and looking for advice/help.

Speakers-
I have already read this thread on the Speaker Upgrade:
http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php?topic=33355.0

I was planning on using the Polk Db501 on the fairing and the Db402 on the rear set but I can't see the modification steps.  If anyone can help with this that would be great.

Windshield-
I am looking to replace the stock slipstreamer shield with a taller vented one like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/163109476112?epid=171326698&hash=item25fa151710:g:9bAAAOSw-VtbK9Hv
Just want to make sure that the hole pattern will be correct.

Bib-
Looks like Talisman for the Bib.

Thanks,
Chad

That wind screen won’t work. It’s for an older model Goldwing. The Honda model nomenclature is confusing for the Valkyrie and the Goldwings of this period. The speakers are easy to fit. Just need a little enlarging of the mounting holes. At least for the fronts, I haven’t done the backs.

Look at Clearview's site (windshields), and call and talk with them, and get exactly what you want. (height, width, vented, tinted)

https://www.clearviewshields.com/motorcycle-windshields/honda/honda-cruisers/valkyrie-interstate-shields/

And ask about seconds... sometimes they have them and you cannot find any defects at all.

You might order a few (4) new faring shield anchors before you start this job, as they are often needed.

I have 4 DB501s in my ‘05 wing. Polk stopped making the 501s.

Ok, I'm giving Clearview Shields a call today.

It does look like you can still get the Polk Db501's here:
https://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-5-Inch-Coaxial-Speakers/dp/B000P0PF78

Is there any reason I shouldn't use the Db402's on the rear?  They are water-resistant so I figured that would be better than the Db501s.

Thanks for the help!
