Picking up an Aspen Classic next week and will be in need of tires soon for a long So Cal to Seattle and back trip.

What do you tires do you recommend for my '99 Interstate when towing a 450lb trailer?

I run dark side. I am on my second General Ultimax. I have pulled close to a thousand pounds.

I am using a Yokohama that is no longer available so that doesn’t help, but you should also start with a fresh set of 4.80x12 tires on the Aspen.

Give yourself more braking time, increase following distance and start braking earlier. Know that you will get horrible gas mileage maybe even low to mid 20’s

yep, your gas mileage will really suck. Especially 2 up with a trailer.

Yep two up pulling my loaded Aspen Sentry with my IS at 70 mph consistently comes in at around 28.5 mph.
Good news is you never get tired in the seat and you are free to camp and move or set up a base camp, check out an area and than move on.

I pulled a Roll-A-Home (425lb) all over the country on Cobra Venoms and then behind my wing on Bridgestones. Keep your inflations up. Ran 42/46 on the valk and 40/42 on the wing. The one wing trip was to Nova Scotia from Mesa, AZ. FYI on brakes; the valk sucks on braking. The wing was very good. In rain; the Valk brakes were non existent.

And remember, on a long curving downhill run the trailer is attempting to push you sideways, you're no longer pulling a trailer.
