...
I am amazed here on the board that with big tough men we have trouble distinguishing between cruelty and training or even getting whats coming to them. Training any animal to not do behavior that would destroy property, put anyone in danger or just make them a nuisance is so much better than putting them to sleep.
...

We don't know the background or context of what happened in the video,

Exactly,

So great one, in making a judgement past the cat not being hurt and someone pulling a cover off a tub, what judgement can be made?

I have heard you now equate this to posting videos of spanking of children and posting it which some would count as abuse and in posting it would be a perversion. That comparison IS a judgement. IT is also much more serious.

Maybe the cat likes it? can you really say anything different?

How do you know the cat was not a favored house cat that needed to take a bath and that was the only way they could do it.

I have taken care of many feral cats and that would actually be a good way to do it.

You all make assumptions that dont jive with the video.

Was all this really necessary? Really?

A cat jumps off a roof unhurt into water and we have to make a federal case of it.  Why?

What was the felt need to be social justice warriors and correct and feel righteous and point this out?

The need to point this out is more important than the video.

Do you animal rights activists research movies and see if any animals were hurt in the making of the movie? Do you get out on the streets and see if any animal was hurt. Do find abused animals and help every single one?

If not then zipp it.

I have now come to the realization that it's not simply that you don't understand the point but that you choose to refuse to understand the point.  It is not about whether what was done to the feline was correct or incorrect.  It's about people finding humor in a video of what was done to the cat.

...

Feeling righteous?  I have no need or desire to feel righteous.  I have great concern for being righteous.

At this point I will disconnect from this conversation with you as any further expression of my observations would tend to violate the Rules of the Road.  Speaking of the Rules there were at least two occurrences of personal attack in your post that I left there to show how lenient I am.

One more point.  Don't speak in the imperative to me.  You haven't the authority or right to do so here.
