Since I shined the 01 up last weekend with Lemon Pledge I figured the 99 was due for the same treatment today. After finishing I fired it up and was letting it warm up when I noticed my rear brake light switch needed adjusted a bit. In the process of doing that I stuck my finger on the header pipe. Life lesson #22622 keep fingers off of things that will burn the crap of them.     |

Nice shines.  Except the shield and mirrors and maybe the headlights during rides, I make it a rule never to clean nothin' except on cold bikes. I still remember mom telling me not to reach up on the electric stove top.  Lemon pledge in my backyard can result in yellow jacket interest (esp in springtime). |

Look at it this way. A rubber heel from a boot or a tenny would have been a Lot harder to clean off.  Long time ago my Brother was still in The Army But his Honda 305 scrambler was at the house. And he had removed the heat guards on the pipes. The Lady I was dating then more likely than not Still has those scars on the inside of her thigh!  RIDE SAFE. |

Stuck my left fingers in to hold the switch when Bam it lit me up. Probably not smart but I do ride in shorts all the time and have scar on the inside of my left leg from it touching the pipe. Only happened once..Lesson learned quick. |

When I become a Grandfather I will be able to show the Grandkids the scar on my leg and tell the story.  |
