will this 5 pin to 3.5mm adapter work on a 84-87 goldwing to hear thru the goldwing front speakers say your cell phone music plugged in by 3.5mm side if the goldwing has the 5 pin connector plug in?  Sorry,  my kid just bought a 1200 goldwing and no idea what this connector does or if there is anything else to use with a connector to play either cell phone music or mp3 player, etc. thru the stock goldwing fairing front speakers.    If the 1200 goldwing has for audio a 3.5mm plug in I have several 3.5mm to 3.5mm cords that would work as well if that will work, not sure??

I also found online pretty cheap a cassette bluetooth adapter that should work for 20 bucks since the fairing has a cassette deck.  I hear they work fine on older cars with cassette players vs. having CD players so see no reason why the cassette adapter slid in the slot on the cassette deck of goldwing would not work?

The round barrel connector has five pins for a common Honda type corded headset.

That is a SENA specific cable that is part of a system to use a BLUETOOTH headset instead of the original corded type headset so it will not do what you want.

There are similar cables that allow you to use a common plug headset instead of the Honda type headset.  These are for audio only - no intercom or CB.

All the above are for headset use, nothing related to speaker audio.

If you want the audio from a headset type jack to be injected into the Honda factory system, you can use a Bluetooth or corded cassette adapter.  You can also insert a unit between the antenna cable and the radio that will add a cable to plug into your music source.  There are other units that plug into your music source and broadcast out to a FM frequency so just tune the radio.  These choices will allow the audio to be heard using either speakers of headsets.

Frankly, the best answer is disregard the Honda system altogether.  Get a new Bluetooth headset and pair it to the phone and be done with it.  Bike's speakers are probably pretty tired anyways.

so, that electricalconnection link you gave me will not work either plugging in the 5pin to honda 1200 goldwing and using a 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5mm plug in of cell phone?   I think he will try the 20 dollar or so bluetooth cassette adapter 1st to see if it works.   I do know there are bluetooth fm transmitter's tuning to a non functioning radio station that plug into the cigarette lighter since we have one for kids pontiac vibe and that works well the past 4 years.
