BTW, until The Expanse, Babylon 5 was easily the best sci-fi on TV.  It's close between those 2.  Guess I shouldn't fail to mention Firefly.

I was coming here just to say B5 is easily the greatest Sci Fi ever made, really the best TV series ever made but since I haven't seen The Expanse, I guess I need to watch that before I declare that 100% true.

I rewatch B5 every 2-3 years, and have ever since it first came out.

To this day I refuse to watch Firefly. I've heard too much greatness about it to start watching something that gets cut off before its' prime like that...

While the effects of B5 are getting a bit long in the tooth, ya'll kow they just remastered the main scenes, cleaned 'em up and released in it HD, right?

If you watch The Expanse you have to give it 4 or 5 episodes 8n order to get enough background to get the gist.  It's a big plot.

If you don't want to watch Firefly then try the movie Serenity.  It's self contained though you won't know the characters' background.

BY goes beyond good sci-fi, it's good drama and the veteran character actors the used nail it every time.

Sorry, I still think Farscape exceeds any made for small screen series. Claudia Black may not have been the sexiest protagonist ever but she was hot in her own way. Netflix once had the series but I don't know if they still do. I saved to disk years ago.
