I met up with Ross in Westminster SC... we traveled around
through the corners of Georgia and North Carolina, through
Tellico Plains and snuck up on Clinton TN without going
through Knoxville or getting on any Interstates... Along
the way we stopped for a second near Coker Creek...

Ross looked up BBQ on his phone and we deviated from the blue
line on the BFGPS to get to this place:







I would never get "The Rib Plate" at lunch on a long ride, the day
needs to be done for that... BBQ lunch is time for a pork sandwich,
judging by that, this is a good BBQ place...

We continued on following the blue line on the BFGPS... I bet
we're the only ones who used this road to get to the motel:



A whole bunch gathered up in the Clinton Hardees parking lot on
Friday morning... only a few knew they were being monitored...



We had a great group ride up to Marion, all good roads. There's
never a time to be careless, but I know I was enjoying being embedded
in the line of motorcycles all stretched out through the country
side, I didn't know where we were or where we were going...





We came to The Shady Valley Store on the way to Marion...



Wimp and Mrs. Smokin' Joe ferried people back and forth across
the Interstate to the steak house at the Clinton motel. At the
Marion motel we all shared in this 2 liters of Crown Royal (his
favorite) that Wimp gave us. All the nearby motel cups (those
individually wrapped ones at the sinks) were gathered up and
a group To Wimp toast was made. I think maybe Gordon toasted
more than once...

The second and third day's pictures from the motorcycle camera are all
rain/mist/puddle splashed. At Boone, on the way home, I plugged in my
heated jacket.

Nevarro’s is a great BBQ place. Only open Thursday-Saturday. He’s a carpenter by trade and this BBQ is a side hustle.
