I'm wondering which prominent landmark most often appears behind VRCC members' bikes (not counting large group rides).

This is my entry.

What no alien spacecraft???

Willow, quick question about your windshield/screen, how do you like the height and where did you get it?

I no longer have that bike, so I'll have to speak in the past tense.

I bought it at a salvage yard for $20 (Stock Interstate).  My lovely wife and I cut it down using a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade at slow speed.

I started taller and worked my way down.  I found that about eight inches above the garnish worked best for me.  I never was able to completely rid it of the buffeting from air coming around the fairing.

I should tell you that I ride without a screen on my Standard.

There's only one Devils Tower but lots of covered bridges in Indiana.

Consider this a generic entry. Smiley

Added the Lincoln Highway in indiana

Good spot, Jack.  I've enjoyed that spot, but it was because of the people and the event rather than for the location.   Wink

I think I may have some shots there also, Wayne, but I'm betting I would never have gone there but for the people and event.   Smiley

I wonder how many pics there are in front of the Key West marker.  I haven't been there.  How many others have a Devil's Tower shot?  Or a Rushmore shot?

More of a motorcycle specific prominent landmark, but I bet there are a LOT of pics of Valkyries in front of this one! (Or it's replacement, they changed the sign I believe?)

Don't have the luxury of time off to take long out of state Valk trips like some of the lucky folks on the board here but I think I've done pretty well in my home state!

Weird boat shaped house. Horseshoe Beach, FL.

The Suwanee River at the US19 crossing.

East Lake Weir P.O. right near Tom's {sealskiner} house.

The world famous headless dino on CR 476 near Brooksville.

In front of the giant Keys lobster on Islamorada.

Self explanatory.

Marineland, south of St. Augustine on A1A.

Wainting for the drawbridge to close on the Main St. bridge in Daytona.

Historic Micanopy FL.

The docks on Lake Monroe in Sanford.

Panama City Beach looking south.

The Crab Shack on Tybee Island GA.

Bok Tower {in the background} Lake Wales FL.

Hwy 44 Withlacoochee River crossing east of Inverness FL.

And of course, Main St Daytona during Biketoberfest last year. Thanks to sealskiner for the pic!

Another Key West............

Residential in Rapid City.    When they had the big flood a few years back, this indentation was 250' wide and full of water.  The one where the road goes through.

Golden Gate Park, San Francisco about 1952.
That was my transportation bike and also my race bike on the circle track.

Shame nice looking bike....I am searching for a new windshield for my I/S and being 6'4" am worried about buffeting...Not so bad with the oem...should probably stay with that set up...but I love the look of the short shield...

Atlantic Ocean Road

Valdresflya lies on the eastern side of Norway's highest mountain area, the Jotunheimen.
The plateau consists of alpine plains, marshes and small lakes.
The altitude is about 1300-1400 metres, hence all the high mountain species are present

Tucked deep into the mountains off the western coast of Norway lies Trollstigen Mountain Road, one of Norway's most magical attractions.

I rented a Road king for one weekend, and the Texans felt so sorry for me that they had to provide a motorcycle for me.
The choice was very easy, and color was not an issue in this case. Harley or Valkyrie?

I got asked if I was afraid of the traffic in Houston because I was shaking while riding the Road King...  It was a good massage  Grin
