Hey all. 97' Tourer I've been riding like crazy for the last year. I had an issue on the way to work this morning where the overheat light was coming on-- for a second or two at a time, sometimes less. I finished my ride to work, and will try to ride it home today.

Additionally, I have a two brothers exh and a two brothers oil temp gauge. I have been running at about 220F oil temp for a few months, and 2 weeks ago I enriched the carbs a little with the mixture screw, and now run about 180F. It was at 180F today when it was flickering on and off (overheat light)

Electrical?

Thanks..

The sensor is probably going bad. I know there’s an upgrade to using the newer sensor but you need to bypass another part. Very simple. My 99 tourer has been doing the same thing for about 3 years. I’ve looked up the solution, just never did it. The fan works and doesn’t come on when light flickers, so it’s not actually that hot.

The light at the end of the tunnel, is a train.
