Seems to me that gas prices have gone up $.70 recently.

Pork ribs I paid $2.29/# over the winter are now $5.99/#.  A fillet of farm raised salmon yesterday was $26.00. I don't buy farm raised fish. Prices of everything is going crazy and once its up I doubt it'll come back down.

OK, this is war!  They're hitting is right in the canines.  Time to bite back!   coolsmiley

Seriously, scary chit that needs to be dealt with in the harshest of terms.  They're hitting our pipelines.  They're hitting our food chain.  They're in bed with our politicians, sometimes literally.

Meanwhile, Joe naps...

The Guy I ride with is a butcher here in town. Now this was a week ago could have gone up Again-Rib Eye Steak-$19.99 lb. And ALL meat products ARE raising in price rather quickly. So far my neighbor still has eggs at a buck a dozen and a waitress I know has farm fresh eggs at a buck and a half a dozen. Also the store where my friend works when the sell by date has passed good mark downs and I have a LOT of freezer bags. So they gonna starve us out with food wars. RIDE SAFE.

I have a little familiarity. I’ve made more than a few trips to HomeDepot and Lowe’s in the last 12 months. Probably 75% of the increase happened by January. Covid has taken a toll on most of the economy. (Except ex-NSA work)

You're blaming the COVID Pandemic for the inflation now going on?   You can't seriously believe that.

Everything consumed in this nation has a cost associated with the price of fuel.   Just a year or two ago, we were not importing crude oil, why is that, our oil is still here.   It's just still in the ground or, can't be transported to the refineries due to actions taken by our leadership.

No, I’m saying most of the rise in lumber prices happened by January. I’m saying the Covid pandemic took a big toll on most of our economy. I have no doubt extra money pumped into the economy will increase inflation.

And devalue the dollars anyone has.   Those on limited income are especially hit hard.   No one should wonder why.

have been having somewhat decent luck still at  Festival Foods grocery store finding 3lb. packages of 80/20 hamburger for 2.99lb which is pretty cheap nowadays.   I have not bought a steak or other 5lb. on up meat in a very very long time going to have to live without awhile longer am sure.  I will stick with pork or chicken or even turkey for a long while yet.    93% lean turkey ground up is pretty good made into taco meat and other items as well.

I also eat a lot of pre-made brats and sausage can still be had on sale for say 3 bucks a one lb. pkg.   From WI gotta eat brats and cheese right?

Sure hope gas does not go above 3 bucks per gallon is pretty close right now for most employers are going to require in next 1-2 months to go back into the office thus putting on 10-15K more miles per year on vehicle.
