Due to procrastination and other reasons beyond my control, I’ll be caging it without a bike in tow. Seems I remember Dave Ritsema coming in maybe a new Bronco? I realize it’s not a normal goal to attend a motorcycle rally without a bike! Anyone else?

Well, I'm caging it to InZane with both my Valkyries in the trailer but, I can see this thread going south real quick.   It seems there's a stigma about that.    I really don't care how one gets there, just get there and back home safely.

There used to be when we were all 20 years younger, but by now the worst I've seen or given is a quick ribbing in the parking lot, and then the camaraderie kicks in...

Just for me, I don't care how ya' get there, just get there if ya' can...

(Although I _MIGHT_ have a small (Non-harmful in any way) surprise for any Harleys that show up. Wink )

20 years ago I wouldn’t have dreamed of attending a rally any other way than riding the Valk there, about 10 years later a buddy and myself offered to bring the wives to Bikeweek and trailering was mandatory. It wasn’t “fun” but it wasn’t that bad either! Today I wouldn’t cage it to Bikeweek but I “think” I like enough of you guys to make caging it a bearable experience. Besides, if I wasn’t willing to bear this enormous burden, many might not ever have the unique experience of my company!

Years ago I trailered to  Steve Eads DRU. I don't normally to a ride in my home state but my wife went with me and she can't ride any distance over about 100 miles or so. One individual made a snide comment about my trailer, I blew it off and considered the source.  Fast forward to last year at Inzane in Ashville and what do I see? That same person with their bike on a trailer. I didn't say a word...

 Get there anyway you can.

This should have been a poll.

Had my health issues not cropped up so quickly I would have trailered to Inzane. In fact I've already purchased a triler from John for This very reason. Hopefully I'll be where ever Inzane is Next Year and trailering Phatt Ghurl. But even IF-perish That thought-I no longer owned a Valkyrie I could see myself caging it to a Valkyrie event. RIDE SAFE.

The day Willow needs anyone to speak for him, I'm sure motomama will let us know.
I don't see that coming anytime soon.

My bike will be on my utility trailer behind the cage on the way to Inzane this year.  About July 1st, my bike will have the company of an engine lathe on the trailer as I make the trip home from Inzane and some family endeavors/gatherings.  This was not my original plan for those weeks but it is the current plan as amended by some recent medical issues.

I am ok with this.  More than ok!  I am still going to get to spend a few days with some of the best friends I have ever known.

We have to, unfortunately. No way my lady friend's bum hip is going to tolerate the ride. If it was just me attending, the bike is ready to roll.
