Very nice!
We got out for 4 hrs too, rode to Julian and I ate a YUGE 1lb Angus Beef double cheeseburger at the American Legion, my girl ordered a fish taco. Both were excellent, the chef trained in a French cooking school.. everyone there was super cool and friendly. The tab was 16.00.. really cheap for what we got.

I think we did ~110 miles total.

Bonnie and clydes for a killer burger.
Always cooler up there.

Today's Ride:

Its almost all four lanes in VA, TN, and KY.  But there was little traffic and some of the views are very spectacular.  The videos don't do them justice.

Bill, there's a dozen or so words I will type misspelled every single time I type them, and today comes out as toady every time (and some of the wrong typing does not come up on spell check).

Today's ride to Athens Ohio.

Issues, I was to take Ohio Route 7 (Ohio River Scenic Bypass) from our overnight stop near Ashalnd, KY to US 33 and then onto Athens.  However, there were signs that said Ohio 7 was closed to through traffic some 27 miles up the road and directed us to the Interstate, which we traveled on for about 20 miles before I said XXV#$$%^$WADBA and entered Athens as my single destination in the GPS.  that got us sort of back on track.  We got to ride down Hurricane Road which has some nice homes and some of the crappeist road surfaces I have encountered this year.  And yes, there were signs that said so.

And then we notice that the detour signs about Ohio 7 include the notion of "trucks".  My bet is that it was only closed to truck traffic.  But......

Lazy Rivers Ride - This rides provided me with what I expected to see on my proposed ride up Ohio 7.  But since Ohio 7 was blocks at about the half way point it did not happen. This is a good ride.
