Corbin seat help for Interstate
«

I grabbed a Corbin Interstate seat from the forum but am unable to latch it down up front.
I tried adding and subtracting washers to build up or lower the front locking latch clasp but can’t figure out why it won’t securely lock down.
This version of the one-piece seat doesn’t have the mid seat clamp FYI.
Advice/tips are appreciated.

Sounds like you aren’t getting it pushed back far enough into the bracket on the rear fender. JAWAG

I had a seat that required the latch key to be turned to open it up to receive the hook.
Get a light and look carefully at where the hook is hitting.
I just recently started to get my centre tab into the fender. A sharp knee thrust into the drivers back portion helped a lot.

My Rumble Seat requires the latch to be opened with the key when I use it with my I/S. Yes, it's a tight fit.
The two-piece Corbin I'm running on it now isn't quite as fiddly but does require a firm push to latch.

Bought a Corbin originally.
Have the ultimate seats and a couple mustang.
They all fit slightly differently.
I would remove any washers you added and try again with the stock latch and seat.
Maybe a Harley guy is pulling your chain..selling you a bogus seat?
