Pictures area plus.

I got to do a few rides on beautiful roads but my best experience was on the train mixing and interacting with so many good folks.

Rewarding experience - Being a part of the effort for the Brain injury Association of Ohio. That was remarkable.

Memorable experience - Pie auction. Never been to one. It was a blast.

What can one say there was so much

The love for Kali when she had the accident, Gryphon with the scotch for Serk, everyone caring.

The effort of Lori and Sheila  baking pies and pralines for charity.  Heck I even bid against myself and got a few others to do the same.

Disco selling pieces of our strawberry pie to help the charity

The police escorting our group to the train and also the downtown on Tuesday

Thom leading me back to ground zero Monday when I thought I had to return home

TroutDude and Mitcho selflessly helping so many with their Valk issues

Dan Meyer holding court at his tech sessions and giving up his riding time

Rams.............what a man

Amy being everywhere to help us

But for me it was just BEING THERE with my Valkyrie family whether old or new friends or coddlewimplers

Yes, I thought it was a bit amusing when she asked the crowd whether anyone knew someone who'd been brain injured.   Smiley

Well heck, obviously, the most rewarding was working with the "Staff".

Most memorable, let's not go there.

BTW, I've been looking for the registration page for InZane 2022 so I can register.   Let's get it done........

I don't remember his name, but my newest hero is the 96 year old gentleman who competed in the Slow Race.

His name was David Carter.

This man is now one of my heroes and someone I hope to emulate. His quiet humility made it even better, on top of the fact he rode to Inzane himself... I'll be happy to still be around converting O2 to CO2 at 96, much less still taking multi-day motorcycle rides!

I loved being a part of the youngest rider and the oldest rider together..... 18 and 96, quite a spread!

I loved the camaraderie. I loved that there isn't a PaM forum at Inzane, nor is there a need for one. I loved that when there was a need, members would argue over who got to be the one to fill that need.

I loved how Kali was looked after, how her antics were accepted, letting her enter her wheelchair in the bike show: (And running her through the tennis ball snatch in her wheelchair for the bike rodeo; btw I saw some cameras out while we did that, if anyone has pics or video of that I'd love to see 'em!)

I loved catching Willow's bike developing an "oil leak"  2funny

I loved when a member's carbs were leaking, Mad6Gun, in a hotel parking lot far from home, did a full carb removal, tear down, repair and replacement (The very thought of doing that myself, at home, given a month of Sundays terrifies me!)

I loved that after the accident the left mirror was shattered so I took it off to stop dripping broken glass everywhere, and someone just replaced it in the parking lot. They told me later, but I missed who it was (If anyone knows please tell me so I can give credit where due!)

And that when I tried to buy a replacement foot peg from Da Prez when he learned it was to replace a part on Kali's bike, he refused payment.

Pies.

The train ride, a good excuse to just sit and chat with fellow members.....

Reuniting with old friends and making new ones at the Early Bird Sunday BBQ was also greatness...

...and that's all just off the top of my head.

Too many rewarding and memorable experiences to fully enumerate, but they all circle back to one thing - great people gathering together for a great time and supporting a great cause.

Had to leave earlier than expected, but still got to see old & new friends. Triple Nickel lead by Reb was an Awesome !! Ride. The event is always well done, only problem was the spillover hotel was too far to walk too, other than that, good times, next time I will reserve a room at ground zero sooner  cooldude

except for a few, it does appear nobody takes pics while they are riding.

Would have been nice to see a clip of riding up 555 blind as to where the heck does this road go?

A self aware, self repairing Valk. That's a scary thought!

While not the same here is a clip from our ride home.  It was a nice single lane road until it sort of "ended".  I might have tried it on a different bike but the Goldwing is not my go-to bike for unpaved roads.

People helping people.

I stole this pick by Serk as proof I was actually there! I was a little late for the start of this tear down but I was mesmerized by the “just another day in the neighborhood” attitude of ripping into a bike this deep on a motel sidewalk. That’s me by the brick wall, which I single handedly held up during most of this operation!

I spent most of my time the first few days watching repairs being made by numerous talented folks who were very entertaining to both watch and listen.

A few close ups

Knowing you were there, holding up that brick wall made us all feel better about going about our own business and riding and enjoying ourselves.   Thanks for taking that risk.  Wink  You Da Man!!!   2funny

It is only a 3 hour ride for me.  The fun part was figuring out how to make it a 3 day ride by going down to the Great State of Tennessee to join up with Joe and the Kool Kids to ride into Athens over the next couple of days.
