Wink I'm patient Jerry. I heard that you and Sherri sold the cottage. So I'll head up to NC when you put the next gathering together. Did I say I was patient.   coolsmiley

Sounds good.
So many rides we still have not done.
Still want to head up to the panhandle and ride the coastal 98.
Lesa and I have plans of at least getting closer up that way though. Sooner the better. We are looking at Old Town, Branford, etc on the Suwanee or finding a good lake house somewhere North of us.
Was looking at Talquin but not too sure about that now.

Well, the Valk clubhouse is sold and we flew up to NC the 16th - 19th and signed all docs needed to build our new Mountain Home.  A section of the 1.5 acre lot was cleared in 2006 and all utilities including electric are underground so we are building a 1700 sq ft home with vaulted ceiling in the living room area and it continues the high vaulted to cover outside, so we have a 25'x12' covered porch with the front railing just over the front edge. we will have a 24x24 garage and electric chase placed now for a man-cave garage out back.

Wow, a 24x24 ft. garage, big enough for someone to put a cot in during winter in the north.  Roll Eyes  Grin
If it were me, looking at those pics I couldn't wait to get the house built. You guys have what appears to be a beautiful spot. Where is it located...just general area is enough. Hope you post pictures as it progresses.  cooldude

Dang, I just got my first bike (2000 Honda Valk Tourer) and am in Tampa. I was hoping there were some folks nearby to ride with and get advice from.

Congratulations to you and Sherri.  I'm sure you will be very happy once it is built.  We will miss you and the cottage, especially when you had the cookouts.  lol  Maybe someone else will step in and do that.  Be safe.

We will not move right away. I figure two more years working for the City of Sarasota will do and even then I know they would like me to stay on seasonal,  October to mid May an easy 50 hours per week, we will see.
