Gathering in N. FL Oct. 7-10

Coldest wind chill I ever experienced was -60 on the north face of Mount Snow in Vermont. They closed off the north face after my run. IT WAS F’N COLD.

Roxie and I are from Wilmington, VT. I worked for Mount Snow in 1967, and used to snowmobile  down the North Face out into the Green Mtn National Forest.

Grew up in Chi Town and no doubt it was brutal- I remember some of these times.

Morning, I'm planning on being back at the hotel Friday hopefully around 4-5 time frame. The Red Shed is about a mile from the Hotel east on Hwy 90. First stop light ( only stop light )   take a left and the RS is there on the right.  Target time for RS is 6 pm.

  Saturday for lunch my hopes is to get to Bradley's Country Store. It is a Icon in Tallahassee. I would like to try to get a picture of our bikes in front of the store. I'd like to have in color then also have a Black and white. If they are too crowded on Sat. maybe ride over early Sunday morning; they are closed on Sundays. Don't you think that would be a great picture   Not mandatory of course.

  Another heads up for dinner on Sat. at the Fish Camp. They do have valet parking but I wouldn't suggest it.

Just found out the other day that my coworker has a scheduled weeks vacation next week Oct 4th. I thought it was Oct 11th. There are only 3 of us here at the warehouse. Can't leave just 1 here to run the whole show. Well you know what that means. No Tally Rally for me
I cancelled my room yesterday. It looks to be a fun weekend Keith has planned. Was really looking forward to it as I have never been up in the Panhandle. My bike is turning into a garage Queen.
Go ahead and tease me with plenty of pics.

Morning Gents,  Just following the weather right now. I want you to keep an eye on it as well. I'm in the Pensacola area so it has been raining this AM and it is said it will be on & off till Wed. Clearing out Wed. afernoon but moving east towards Tallahassee. Thursday most likely will be a wet ride on and off  for you all traveling to Tallahassee. Friday in Tallahasse will be around 50% rain chance. We will be south of Tally most of the time but could run into a shower somewhere. Saturday looks good and so does the ride home on Sunday. I do understand if you think you need to back out.
  *** Please let me know if you have decided you will not come and post it here or call me @ 850- Seven 4-8- 5-one-5-four. At this time the event will be NOT be canceled, still following the weather report. I'm wanting to go.  Thank you, Keith

Sure do understand. I hate it and yes I've put a lot in to this gathering.  The way it looks now I'm still going over. Rain on Friday is about 50% earlier in the day. Being from Tallahassee 50% is a slim to none in most areas. It's not a wide spread rain as I see it but ......  I'm not trying to convince anyone.

New guy here, been following the thread for a few days while awaiting access.  Plan on riding over Friday morning (or meeting up in St. Marks) if the weather isn't a total crap fest.  Saturday is a no-go due to previous commitment though.  A November re-schedule wouldn't be a problem either of course.

    I've ridden in plenty of rain over the years, a few times I shouldn't have; with that said the rain is clearing west of Tallahassee where I am along with 3 others waiting to make the decision. We might catch up to the rain moving east before we get to the hotel. Friday around Tallahassee is clearing up. I may cancel the Backwoods Crossing room reservations. It was a nice room that would handle our group easily. With those canceling I will get my $100 dollars back for the room but we can sit around the restaurant.
   Of course if we did back it up to Nov. 11-14 it might rain

  Hotel police  I just called my friend at the Staybridge Inn the Nov. 11-14 is available for the size of our group to just back your reservation to those dates. There is NO FSU game that weekend. Let me know your thoughts ASAP

OK this is Official announcement: the event has been Postponed to NOV. 11-14. Rooms have been canceled and you will need to make new reservations if you can make the new dates. I hope you can. the weather will be much better and it should be cooler too. Thank you for your patience.

i will agree, the wing is much easier to polish and keep clean than the interstate. but once the interstate is polished up its an eye catcher.
