Getting ready for a couple overnighters this fall. Changed all fluids, installed new Corbin back rest which I didn't think I'd like, but wow the shape of it is extremely comfortable. I will only use it for longer rides. Sold the Kuryakyn Ergo III pegs and installed Rivco Aero flip out. Installed my taller 16" shield. These things should make highway riding more pleasant.
Looking forward to cooler temps. I'm ready for fall riding season.

Sold these

Installed these

Instruction read to remove valve cover. I did not, just removed the Honda chrome plastic carefully with non-metallic pry bar.

Well, I should of waited I guess. I bought a new set of the Ergo III and put on Stinger about 3 months ago. I thought about the Rivco Flip out but didn't know how they would hold up and being in that position. Let me know 6 months from now if you'd reccommend! See you down the road.  coolsmiley

Good write-up, I didn't have it in me to replace a piece of chrome trim with something other than chrome and ended up with the Rivco Aeropeg chrome version.

How do you like the Rivco vs the Kury?

Baldo...They both have distinct advantages/disadvantages.
The Kurry Ergo III I believe you have more adjustment, it has real nice finish which will chip and corrode with mileage as any and every Kurry product I've owned. I don't care for the big clunky old school look on this bike. I don't care for how far they stick out on the bike, even when closed. That's the only reason for the switch. The Kurry Ergo III is also very heavy 15lbs for the pair.

The Rivco works well for me, easy to open with my big toe in flight. The adjustment is less although is perfect for me. I only use one adjustment position and it's perfect. I like the sleekness, blends in well with the bike available in different finishes. Space is a concern for me and I'm able to slide the bike up against the wall further in my garage and still get vehicles in with the Rivco. You must be careful with the Rivco, I close them when not in 5th gear "cruising" If you dump the bike with them in the open position you will cause damage to the side cover and could drive mounting bolts into engine causing damage.(so I hear) Not an issue for me, I always remember to close my door when I leave my home so I can remember to close these as well.

They are both nice quality and good function, the Rivco is more pricey. I guess it boils down to personal preference. After 3 shields, 3 seats and two highway pegs the bike is finally perfect for me.

Farther, I thought the black would look like it belonged on the black bike. It kind of sticks out. Undecided

Baldo...your welcome.

I was thinking the same thing, I almost ordered the black. Ended up getting the polished. Hope it looks good. The chrome is another $100!

Thanks for the reply.....
