Thanks to the help from my son-in-law. We jacked the bike up...waaay up, so we could extend the CS, then put jack stands under the engine guards. Andy is 6'5" with the muscles that go with it. I couldn't budge the bolt to remove it from the CS, not a lot of room up there, made him grunt a bit but he broke it loose. Unbolted the crossmember clamp end of the CS and it dropped right off. He's going to install it on his I/S but we'll have to create a lifting handle to replace the one that came with the stand when I first got it 15 or more yrs. ago. I had a matching set on the old bike but sold them a few months ago.
Now I can start putting the old bike back together and get it ready for sale. Still have some stuff on it that didn't work on the trike...namely the I/S radiator pods I adapted to it('98 Tourer) and the HD fairing which isn't needed since the trike is a converted I/S. Both the pods and the fairing have native American painting on them, as do the saddle bags and the trunk I adapted to it. Maybe someone from the nearby Oneida nation will be interested. Hope to have it up and running this month so a possible buyer will have a good two months of riding left. Frankly, I need the room. It's a two car garage, not a one car, one trike, one 2-wheeler garage.
