I apologize for another lighting post, I have asked about the Spotlights and the Headlight and have some good direction to follow, thank you for that.  I then saw a post about the rear tail light and a LED bulb swap that will make that brighter, so to complete the lighting is there a LED bulb that can be used in the turn signals for the signals and running lights?

My I/S is set up with amber 1157s (front) and red 1156s (rear). Bought them from JP Cycles several years ago. Note that the flasher module has to be changed if you're not going to use load-equalizing resistors with the OEM signal flasher.

Lenses were changed to the Kuryakyn deep-dish bezel type (2000-up signals work with these; older two-screw lenses won't). I opted for smoke lenses all the way around so bulb color is now irrelevant.

you want to upgrade a led bulb in the tail light, but not the turnsignals?

An led 1157 bulb in the tail light is plug-n-play.

(you'd have two problems if you install led bulbs in all 4 signals.)

4-way flashing where all 4 bulbs flash simultaneously no matter which side you signal,

and hyperflashing (too fast blinking rate).

You'll need a LED flasher to switch all four blinkers to LED without hyperflash.  One of these puppies.

Replace your three pin OEM flasher (behind your antifreeze overflow tank under left side panel) with this two pin flasher. Yes, it works flawlessly.

I have both bikes decked out with LED bulbs all the way around, headlights, taillights, turns, on the IS trunk lights and even instrument panel on the Bullet.

Easier on your alternator draw, too.

I get all my LEDs through SuperBright LEDs, nice folks, reply quickly and are helpful.

You can punch in the vehicle information and it will suggest several bulbs... go with a red light as white can wash out.  If you're going for full LEDs you will need the LED flasher module and the Diode.

Hello Scooby.  There are non-polarized LED bulbs that can be used for neutral, flash, and high beam indicators in the headlight shell.  Those don't require the diode installed.  Just plug them in.  I got mine on eBay last year.  There are a number of offerings like this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/293604065608

The challenge I had was LED's for speedo and tach.  Some were too bright, and a distraction.  The colored ones didn't spread the light evenly.  I surrendered and returned my bike to old-fashioned bulbs for those.

I bought a set of LED 194s from AutoZone several years ago. Run in the green gauges of '97-'99 models, these look really good. No idea how they'd do in a 2000-up orange gauge, or in an I/S instrument cluster.

Check your pm Scooby.  It depends if you're riding a Standard or Tourer, or an Interstate.  If you want LED blnkers all-around you'll want the flasher on all models.  You'll only need the diode kit on Standards and Tourers.
