Is there some way to adjust the trunk latch? Right now it closes just can't get it to latch
Appreciate your advice.          Raymond

I have had several interstate trunks and each one of them is the same.
If you slam it down, they will pop back up without latching. What I learned to do is close it, then put heavy downward pressure on the lid and they will catch.

I have heard that there is an adjustment on there somewhere, but never needed to do it after closing it like above.

I agree with Jim. I adjusted mine to close easily, but that caused it to rattle terribly. Try pushing down to latch. If it won’t, there is adjustment on the lid side if need be.

The lid lock bar can be adjusted, just a little, loosen the two screws and slide it one forward or back to see what works best.
Closing my trunk, I press on the "K" to secure the latch.
