I saw a posting on a local FB page about a ride the next day.

They might know some roads I don't.

A small group. 2 Spyders. One at the front. The other riding sweep. 4 H-D's and me.

Less than 20 miles and it's the first stop for a photo by the "Rattler" Sign.

One of the Harley riders mentioned that his bike felt a bit weird at the front. Could be his brakes. I suggested he ride ahead of me just in case his brakes failed.

10 miles later and it's stop 2. For ice cream!

After a few more miles I ride by the weird feeling bike and pull over where I can safely stop. I'm not a mechanic and know nothing about Harleys. Others quickly determine that its the front wheel bearings and the bike should be ridden very slowly back to the last stop and wait for help.

On we go again. No more stops until we get to the Bobarosa Saloon. This is the out dated web site.  http://www.bobarosasaloon.com/

All order beers. It's a Diet Coke for me.

A pleasant riverside lunch is enjoyed. There's a lot of bikes coming and going. My Honda stands out in the sea of Harleys and a scattering of other V twins. It would be fun to have 6 or so Valkyries show up.

After lunch the route homeward will retrace outbound route.

And it's stop 3 at the ice cream place.

I tell the group I have to get home and thank them for the ride.

A quick stop at a local produce stand for maters and peaches. A dampening from a brief heavy shower and I'm home having ridden 128 miles.
