Too cold for any bike ride, besides my wife Gina won't ride to the mailbox with me on a bike....LOL.
Here's a few pictures from our ride up to the Tellico Mtns. We rode out to Bald River Falls, I've been there probably 100 times in my life but have never seen it this frozen! We drove up to Indian Boundry lake and hiked around a little,The lake was froze solid, I walked all the way across it!  We then drove up to the State Line on the Cherohala Skyway, where it was only 3 degrees. There was only a few inches of snow, but it was on top of solid ice. The road crews had the roads in good shape ...never even had to put it in 4 wheel drive. I thought I would see Smokin'Joe,Lucky 13, and Big Al up there on the Valks...ha ha!  So here are a few pics from the trip. Some of you that went on the FCR will remember some of these areas.

It's 6 degree's outside right now and you have no idea how much the pictures you posted makes me want to take a ride to Bald River Falls to see the ice. In fact I just went outside to check the road in front of the house it's still pretty much snow covered  Sad   If I did ride today it would be 3 degrees colder than the coldest I've rode . Detn8er and I pulled out a couple years ago for a 500 mile ride to just outside of Hattiesburg , Mississippi it was 9 degrees that morning. The picture below is a trip we took across the snow and ice covered Cherohala Skyline for the most part the road was in  good shape but it did have several places that you really had to watch...What a RUSH  cooldude

Time to get some BF Goodrich TA's on the back of the Valks!
Theres a Polar Bear Ride today that I was 'hoping' to make if I could get out of the drive. We just got 6" Thursday night and theres ice under it. Next week we are 'suppose' to hit 40 so maybe get a mile in then.

Remember what I said to you as we were about to leave your drive way...."Are we the two craziest SOB's in TN. today?"  uglystupid2 uglystupid2
The heated gear does indeed work well, I never was cold except when we would stop for gas and a smoke then I would near bout freeze til I was back on the bike and plugged in......Zactly what is the wind chill factor at 9* and 75 MPH??? We had it all that day...Ice balls bouncing off a full face helmet makes a strange and unwelcome sound....Rain later on...COLD RAIN!!! And finding out while standing on the side of I-65 in Aladambama that my shop had burned while I was gone.  :'(

Made myself go find a wind chill chart...Best i call tell is 9* at 75 MPH would around -22*.....COLD!!
