There are numerous interviews of young folks regarding Olympic Team USA. They say they will not back their country and will only back certain athletes, not necessarily American athletes.  A few have said they are ashamed to be American.

In that case they can feel free-no I DEMAND they remove American Flags from their uniforms and should they win a medal no flag over them on the podium. And if yer domicile is in The U S of A go somewhere else. RIDE SAFE.

I wasn't talking about the athletes, just everyday young folks on the streets.  But, some American athletes don't think much of the country they live in.

I feel as you do, if you don't love this country then hurry up and leave it. If any of them decide to come back then apply for citizenship.

I have mixed feeling about this.   I guess everyone has a right to feel however they wish but, if you don't respect and honor those that have protected and given you the rights you have, you're not welcomed in my home.

If you won't honor and defend this country, don't expect me to feel sorry for you when things don't go your way and there's nothing stopping you from going elsewhere (where they will presumably be happy), pack yer bags and don't let the door slam or hit you in the ass when you leave.

I'll respect and defend your rights to espouse your opinion but, remember that we're all responsible for our decisions, words and actions.   What we do and say can be reflected now and later in life.   Get Stupid and there's always a price to pay, sooner or later.

Once, in the 90s, an overly strident "Confederate" turned from the flag
when we were saying the pledge at my SCV camp. He was spoken to.
I never saw him again.

I think the person in the picture above went on to be awarded an Olympic metal...

Yep, its there now.

Boy, I have mixed emotions about that.  'She done good' and thats worth a lot. She did it [ lived, trained and prepped] in this country.  Then she decides to disrespect it.

I thought they were representing their country seems like that should be one of the requirements to represent the country you are from with pride.

It seems that some may be competing just for themselves.

I think that if they are going to disrespect their country, they should be required to put a big paper grocery bag over their head with eye-holes, and do a goofy dance.

And change it from the national anthem to the Benny Hill theme tune.

That way, we could all enjoy it.
