Just bought this bike so I haven't changed the oil yet but:

On ebay there is a guy (meyersmotorcycle) selling an Airfilter for $22 & $8 shipping, starting bid and on a different auction selling a set of Plugs and oilfilter for $25 & $8 shipping, which if I get both he said he would combine shipping.  So I'm looking at $55 for these items to my door.

Says the oil filter & air filter is Honda brand and the plugs NGK.

Are these good prices?  Has anyone bought this stuff from this guy?

Saw them on ebay, and looked good. Seems like a good price to me but I haven't bought oem stuff in years. You could check out HDL and see what they have for prices.

NGK's at your local auto store are under $2 ea and a Purolator Pure One filter (#PL14610) is $6 at Pep Boys. That's $18 plus tax. Why order from an unknown seller.

Doesn't sound like too good of a deal to me either. Get your spark plugs & oil locally then order the filters from HDL or Parts Nation. Get the oil filters in a multi-pack, that will save you a bit. Whenever I order any parts from HDL I usually pump the total up over $200 with extra oil filters to get the free shipping.  Wink Yep, I'm a cheapskate!
Now I have PLENTY of oil filters in stock, but we have 3 bikes that use that part #. My buddys VTX, my since sold Rocket 3 also used the same filter #. The OEM Honda oil filters are sealed in plastic wrap very well & will keep for a long time.

The Purolator Pure-one PL14610 are a bit longer than OEM and are highly rated, $9.48 for two filters on Amazon:

Changed plugs, twice in 60k miles 2 bux apiece,  I like the fat wally world filter,2 bux allows me to put in 4.5 quarts of oil.  That can't be a bad thing.  cooldude  I'm on my 3rd air filter, an Emgo from JCW 19 bux.

Plugs are cheap ($2.00 just about anywhere) and easy to install on the Valk.  That being said:  Unless you have a particular reason (like an engine problem) to change the sparklers, they will last just lijke they do in your car!  Presently mine have 30K on them and they're still just like new.  As for oil filters: I used to always buy OEM, that is until the dealership started gettin' greedy (er).  They got up to $16 for the OEM filter.  After some research on various oil filter quailty stuidies, I started buying WalMart Supertech's for about $2.50 each 5 years ago.  By-the-way, if you're considering using the Emgo's from JCWhitney, Well, all I can say, is read the statment on the side of their oil filter box (good for 1500 miles!!) and make your own decision.  I still use only the OEM air filter, but only change it about every 30 or 40K.  No harm done, as all is still good will the Phat lady and she still will deliver 42 Mpg without much effort.    End of commercial

Oops, just checked hdl, they have the oem again, and they are cheeper than the emgo!
