passing thru Willow Springs Mo. Saw these 4 H/Ds enter the Loves/Micky Ds here this A M but I did Not Know who they represented til I saw the logo. H A outa North Carolina. 3 fully patched members and a prospect. then a crew cab Ford pickup pulled in with an enclosed 18' trailer and 5 more of them exited the P/U. One thing I did notice that they had in common with a lot of us here-mucho gray hair!  2funny they didn't shoot or knife anyone didn't molest any Woman and when I left I just nodded at them and got back in my cage. Another thing struck me as different-All the riders did in Fact have lids on. Missouri has been helmet choice and don't recall the When of that be enacted.  Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.

The helmets might just be habit, North Carolina is a non-free state as far as hat choice goes...

Sorry but I just cant find any respect in me for gang members that finance their clubs with drugs, guns, and prostitution.     I would go way out of my way to help any stranded motorcyclist.....but not gang members.

One could say the same for political parties these days................

For instance an open border invites child and adult slavery, prostitution, extortion and death

Wonder which party that would be

I help anyone unless they have harmed me and my family.   I help police, emt even harley riders whether they have a "colors" on the vest or not  I have often stopped my Valk or bmw bike next to police vehicles with their lights on the side of the road to ask if they are ok  You would be surprised how many times the officer was not aware his lights (cherrypickers) were even on.    The laughter when I say that would explain why you havent been able to pull anyone over is priceless.     It also has gotten me out of tickets as the officer says  HEY I KNOW YOU

Some years ago I gave a few bungee cords to a Sons of Silence rider on the road.  He was standing next to my bike and knew I was on a Valkyrie.

They're human beings.  In many ways they live by different values than do I but then so do some of my friends.

Many years ago I was riding to the Ren Faire on the Valk with Kali (A much MUCH younger Kali) on the back.

Stopped for gas, there was a group of 8 or 9 1%'ers at the pump in front of me. I was day dreaming about faire and didn't pay attention to my task at hand, ended up having the tank massively overflow.

Hopped off the Valk, got Kali off and away, and began wiping up the tank and other parts covered in gasoline.

The oldest, senior member of the 1%'er group came over and started helping me. One of the younger ones piped up "Yo, what are you doing? Don't you know he's on a Honda?"

(This was while I had a political sticker on the windshield that proclaimed my disdain, in no uncertain terms, for the occupant of the White House at this time.)

The senior member points to the sticker and hollers back at the younger one "You see this? Any *expletive* that's got the balls to have that on their bike I'll help, I don't give a *expletive* if they're on a *expletive* Vespa!

They come thru town and hang out for days from time to time, had a huge gathering here a decade or more back.  They played softball and got in squirt gun wars with the locals.  A good time was had by all.  After their departure, a murdered feller's body was discovered outside of town.

Who am I to judge?  The guy probably zigged when he should have zagged with somebody.  I did stay outta the bars that week, but that's not unusual.  I've not done that since my mid 20's.   Wink

best to avoid them IMO.  I was tempted to pass a few club jacket wearers but decided to hang back putzing along like they were.  I figured if I blew by them would piss them off then they speed up and then I am outnumbered and probably outgunned.

When I was in an MCC not a patch club or 1%.. we used to invite the local 1%er bike club to all our parties, never had any bother with them, good bunch of lads.

If we hadn't invited them and they knew we were partying as a club we may well have had some gatecrashers and a bit of trouble.

Not saying it's right but if you play the game you don't get any trouble.

I've helped some over the years. Some have helped me over the years.

FWIW, one of the very higher ups of an area outfit whose patch features crossed pistons and a smiling skull rides a VTX1300, this after coming off a very chopped/customized '79 FL. His ol' lady/wife rides a Yamaha V-Star 1300.

His car/bike meet and watering hole buddies grew weary of push-starting that Shovel. Seems there was always something going on with it, even though he maintained it as best he could. Some designs simply need to be retired.

Said known associate also sat down to dinner with my mother and a group of my riding friends (including some of his fellow club members) on one of her last birthdays that she was able to get out and about, before failing health caught up with her. All were gentlemanly and ma had a blast checking out the scooters. Sadly, they couldn't get her on the back seat for a ride either.  Huh? Roll Eyes
