Our government doesn’t give a hoot about COVID or vaccines or any other health issue other than how they can use them to further their agenda, whatever that may be. How can you on the one hand tell everyone to get vaccinated as your duty to protect one another and on the other hand allow literally thousands of unvaccinated and COVID positive illegal aliens into the country, load them on buses, and planes and send them all over the country? It’s happening and our elected officials are just standing around doing nothing.

And that doesn’t even take into account how many people are entering the country with express intent of doing some bad things, forget about our no fly list!

If you feel you swore an oath to protect this country and you still feel like you support our current leaders you might want to re-examine your priorities.

They do care about votes, and they're "importing" them into the country in droves.

If I took that same oath, I would be very torn about getting on down to southern border and defending it by any means necessary -- whether that would entail following direct orders or not! 

I remember a "discussion" on this topic on the board many years ago where I said I think illegal immigration is one of the greatest threats our nation faces.  I was challenged by one in partcular, and a "disagreement" ensued.

I still stand by that belief, and the problem is growing exponentially.  No border, no country.

Not so much in vaccinated America.  Delta continues to spank some under/un vaccinated "developing" countries hard tho.  And our hospitals are in better shape than before.  But infections always precede hospitalizations, which likewise precede deaths.  

I've read some recent articles showcasing doctors and nurses in states that are now seeing resurgences in COVID hospitalizations and ICU demands.

They're not pleased at all, and say it's 99% avoidable.

My comment was for the source not for the validity of the subject. I couldn’t care less about the whole COVID mess. I got vaccinated and got on with my life. Me beating my gums about COVID delta is just so much hot air. I do hope everyone does what they feel is best for them and their families. The government fake concern for us as individual citizens is pure theater and as soon as they can’t make political points talking and keeping it in the news it will be gone. Hence, the reason for my posting the thread.

I’m sorry about your friend. As much as I don’t want any more support for Trump, I sure don’t want to see my friends and family to die. This virus is apolitical. It will infect and kill ANYONE it can. If it takes people wanting to continue support for the right by getting the vaccine, I’m all for it.

Yes it can be a worry .........especially when they have big a soccer game that drew a 60K crowd....Numbers spiked sharply after there soccer team got into the finals. Numbers are dropping again now.

The unfortunate truth is, the sooner more folks get vaccinated or naturally infected, the sooner we'll reach "Herd Immunity".   The presence of anti-bodies in our system is all that apparently matters in the severity of the infection and thusly, the survival/death rates.   

Spoke with my COVID Doc just yesterday, I specifically asked about a "booster" shot.   She said she had no official word on that but wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't recommended by this fall.   Today on the evening news, I saw that both Moderna and J&J are recommending a booster shot.

Based on the prediction of my demise, I fail to see a reason to get that vaccination.   If the previous prediction was accurate, all it's gonna due is expedite my departure.   

Yeah, I'm thinking if offered, I'll get that booster.

I don't have numbers to support it, but it appears the Pfizer is narrowly the best, followed by Moderna, with the J&J  bringing up the rear. ANY vaccine is better than none, but I would try to get the 2 shot vaccines if possible.

They also stated they have been researching and testing this for 8 months. Natural has not faded at all. Who knows what is true.. I asked the VA to be blood tested as a test person for natural immunity and see what results we get, I got a no reply. They know but will not tell the public about natural immunity. I heard the opposite.  At least we are all hearing things.  One thing we do know is true.  Getting COVID can be a very suckful thing.
