Just started today. Only at full tight turns, like a U turn, front wheel squeals at a high pitch as the wheel turns. Doesn’t do it on regular curves or turns. Would that indicate axle dryness or wheel bearing? Thanks fro any help in advance.

Wheel bearing, most likely.
Once tightened during installation, the axle shouldn't come into play whatsoever other than to support the rotating assembly (the wheel).

Yup, sounds like front wheel bearing.
Probably best to just change both of them at the same time.
Fortunately, the job is WAY less involved than the rear wheel.

Up on the lift, funny noises can sometimes be replicated and sourced.
Try spinning the wheel at full right lock.

Could you be pinching a brake line at full turn causing the brake to squeak? Just a thought.

I replaced my brake pads a few years ago and get a squeal out of them at walking speed while I'm maneuvering my bike into her parking spot. Sure you're not hearing the pad fall against the rotor?
I put new bearings on my wheels every time I replace my tire. (Got a spare set of wheels so she's not down while I get around to mounting the new ones.)
Hope you find the noise and fix it.

First, ask the OP what year bike - and check the bearing pocket diameters. 97s used 42MM OD while all others use 47MM. |

I had an odd noise in tight turns which turned out to be a frozen caliper later on. I knew something wasn't right but the wheel bearings worked fine so???? One day the front brakes just kind of froze up on me. Lucky I was like a mile from my house so I just rode it home with the brakes dragging. I had a terrible time getting the one piston out, it just wouldn't move.
My first guess would be wheel bearings.
